I’m a big Boyd fan and believe he’s tall enough to allow his talent to shine, but it’s concerning to me that the board’s examples are all 40+ years ago.

I know it's a different sport but this talk of height reminds me of the Tyler ullis debate mugsy did it spud web blah blah blah.it happened to work for Tyler better then many had thought.but I do think there is a exception to every rule I both think Boyd can both fail and succeed time will tell.but his video footage is impressive no matter his height.as illini we are all rooting for him and also something to seriously think about is the quarterback room we've built under lunney and bielema I think this may be the first time in my lifetime where our team success isn't guided by a single quarterback recruit that has to succeed or we will be terrible whether he works out as qb or even if he were to became the next Williams wr convert I'd take that in a heartbeat.ILL

?
Russell Wilson is playing on TV right now

I’m operating under the belief that Boyd being listed as 5’10” in high school tells me he’s shorter than Russ/Gabriel and closer to the Flutie/Verdusco height. If he’s actually 5’10 then I’m even higher on him.

It's all fun & games until the McCaskeys want a 50% stake in the Illini football team.

I seem to remember Fran terrorizing the old St. Louis Cardinals way back when......

I loved that time frame of the Cardinals Air Coryell.....I really really did.....

So, in the Portal we need, 2 WR's, 2OL, Maybe 2 DL, possibly another TE and another LB? Is that right? Do we need to add at another position? Hopefully we have enough money to accomplish this?

The thing with wideouts is... we have a bunch of talented, but young and unproven pieces. So, with wideouts, I'd take only starter level, proven guys. Not the 15-20 catch, 170 yard guys... I'd rather have those reps with the young bloods and to develop. Just me.
