Brad does need to own this, publicly. Zillions of fans are owed something after his song-and-dance about "Final Four potential"

But more constructively, Brad Underwood is going to have a reckoning in Josh Whitman's office. Illinois basketball is not Underwood's. It belongs to the institution, the state, the alumni, the fans, and the players. Brad Underwood is going to need to provide to Josh Whitman believable steps to move upward.

Brad has to go. He consistently folds on the big stage, has no gameplan whatsoever, and refuses to ever adjust to anything. I don't care if he agrees to overhaul the assistants. He did his job of resurrecting the program, and I hope he's always remembered for that, but he has reached his ceiling (and frankly looks like he doesn't care anymore). This program should be consistently producing top 15 teams with the resources we have. We can do so much better.

I always wondered what Chris Collins could do at a place like Illinois. He is a fantastic ball coach. Would it translate in a better situation. Or does it only work bc he’s limited at NW

The only thing more insane than the coaching for the Illini are those who are still defending it. As far as another job, this season has to have dimmed the prospects for BU going forward. ADs seeing this train wreck have to be reconsidering the option of hiring him.

So what exactly are Alexander and Orlando doing? Not trying to be a smart a$$ or sound ignorant, just genuinely curious.

No - it’s a totally legitimate question …

Orlando is getting paid 900k to recruit and be a voice to Brad … There’s a reason he sits right next to him … Brad trusts him …

As for Geoff … When I’m watching on TV it’s more obvious … But I see him walking outside the huddle just clapping his hands 95% of the time … So I’m not quite sure how much in game coaching is coming from him … He’s done well establishing relationships overseas though …

But Tyler is the guy Brad is always talking to... way more so than Orlando.

We are bad yes.
Brad also doesn’t need to own them publicly…he will own them privately
Maybe true but his endless supply of excuses after excuses every press conference just a bad look but then he always adds “no excuses”. We all know about the illnesses injuries it’s his job to get the most from the players he does have and he has not close to doing that.

If you can’t hit 3s, iso is not the answer and simple PNR can be stopped with good coaching. Just clog the middle ….that’s what Duke did. Biggest embarrassment I have ever seen since Brad took the reins.

Please tell me Brad and his agent are sniffing around for other jobs right now? Easy peasy, he finds another job, we hire a better coach, everyone is happy

Silver lining is that Texas just lost to SC to give them their first conference win of the season. One step closer to being in a spot to take BU off our hands without it getting messy with JW.

I’d love to have a coach like Gard, who seems to retain talented players and help non-star freshman eventually turn into great seniors. I always wonder why we lose so many players to the portal each year. And he has completely changed Wisconsin’s offense to match today’s players skills.
