Not directed to me, but for Illinois, Beard. And not particularly close
directed toward anyone who has an opinion on it, really. I know beard has had plenty of success id love to see what he could do

Another guy I like is Dennis Gates. I know he got roughed up last year, but was 25-10 his first year at Mizzou and on pace to maybe exceed that this year. Didn't take him long at Cleveland State either. He is a Whitney Young/Chicago guy and young. Dude coaches ball. A fun style at that too.

But, we should worry about this hopefully in April.

So what exactly are Alexander and Orlando doing? Not trying to be a smart a$$ or sound ignorant, just genuinely curious.
O works with Bigs. Get guys here. Supposed to handle scouts. Aside from guys being here, right now I don't really know.

I hope near zero. You can't take your foot off the gas if you're Whitman. How many blowout losses does he need to see?

We need to put feelers out on Mark Byington. He seems like a good coach. Like how he turned Vandy around quickly along with what he did at James Madison

Brad brought Illinois basketball back.
Brad has had horrible luck this year with the team’s health.
Brad has made some terrible coaching decisions over the past year.

I think the mood with fans would be much different right now if Brad owned some of those mistakes.

He's done it at least one time too many for my liking. I appreciate his tenure immensely and I would've certainly excused an off year every now and again if I thought he really was interested in being a lifer here. But the last time he pulled that coming off another tourney disappointment it was a pretty big turn off.

We are bad yes.
Brad also doesn’t need to own them publicly…he will own them privately

I strongly believe the health issues were at least somewhat self-inflicted by letting sick players be in close contact with other players instead of working to isolate them intelligently.

Disagree. There are ways he could publicly admit mistakes without throwing anyone else under the bus that would make fans feel better. Admit this is unacceptable instead of of just throwing it all at the feet of illness, for example.

It seems like he attended the John Mozeliak School of Public Relations.

It is very possible Brad is the right kinda of coach to put out someone else's dumpster fire. But at the same time have a personality that would ignore smoke rising from smaller fires of his own making until it is too late.
