I agree the NBA is unwatchable at times. But to me the bigger issue is the regular season by and large is pretty meaningless.

Usually the 4-5 main title contenders are known before the season starts. Sure a team or two jump up and surprise and a team or two might underachieve, but just about every decent team makes the playoffs. And home court doesn’t matter nearly as much and so the regular season games don’t mean anything. Sure, all things being equal you’d just assume play a game 7 on your floor, but having healthy players is way more important. Hence the load management. Teams are just responding to incentives, and right now there just aren’t any incentives to maximize regular season wins.

And stats have never meant as much as baseball, but with stats inflated so much in this era it’s darn near impossible to compare players across eras so no point in even watching to stat track.

Playoff NBA can yield phenomenal basketball and I will watch series. But I usually don’t tune in until the playoffs start. Because who really cares if the Celtics win 57 games or 62 games or wind up with the one or three seed? If they are healthy they will be in the conference finals at a minimum. Regular season doesn’t matter.
If we're still going off about how unwatchable the NBA is- the ads are a big turn-off. On-court ads are distracting (the Big East plays with them too), jersey ads are tacky, and there's too many commercials. This is something I've said about the college teams still stuck on ESPN- ESPN does not value the product it carries and it shows through the production. ESPN's NBA halftime show I think is around two minutes of content, they simply do not care about what seems to be their flagship sport.

I love TSJ but there's a huge leap from where he is now to an all star selection.
He's gonna have a long career. He can score at all three levels. He's big, fast, and strong enough to defend all over the court. And less talented guys than him have managed to make one All-Star team. Let's come back to this in a few years.

I’ll say it again, TSJ will be an All-Star. He’s just getting started. With his work ethic, I wouldn’t be surprised if he eventually cements himself as one of the most electric players in the league consistently. Give him some time, let him learn, watch him cook.

It will be down to having a real right hand and consistency from three. Neither are easy to do, but I have no doubt TSJ will put in the work.

To think how far he has come to this point gives me reason to believe that he could be an alpha 2 before he is finished. I really am happy for this young man.

Who do we think have the highest ceiling in the NBA going forward for our three former Illini, Ayo, Podz or TSJ?

Highest ceiling is TSJ, Ayo most sustained success, Podz most Ad revenue received

“Likely to get some more playing time”

What more does he have to do to get playing time. It’s so frustrating to watch them waste his talent when he excels every chance he gets.
It's not necessarily a reflection on him but who is ahead of him. He plays with Anthony Edwards but good signs is the was on the floor with him at the same time.

He looked like he was just faster then everyone yesterday just like he was at Illinois... So he should get more time on the floor. Also plays both ways and 3 level scorer will make it hard not to

IMHO, Chris Finch is an idiot if he can't see how much better the T-Wolves are when TSJ gets starter minutes. They look like a different team now that he is in the rotation. If Finch had seen this earlier in the year, TSJ would be in the ROY discussion, and Minnesota would have won a few more games.
