While I'm glad we're not one of the early games, being one of the last to go off today is tough. It's a lot of waiting around for the main event. It's crazy that a full season's worth of narratives can be altered with how we do here. This hasn't always been the easiest Illini team to love. It's an almost completely new squad with a rollercoaster season of extreme highs and lows. Everything that's happened has been emblematic of the new world of college basketball and it's taken some getting used to. Despite it all, one thing has remained constant. The talent is there. This team is as talented as we've had in a long time. We've got the stars. We've got the bigs. We've got the bulldog defender. Anything can happen in March and I'm ready for one last ride with this squad.

This team is SOOOOOOO unpredictable. Will they show up or go through the motions. I am going to go out on a limb and say if THE ILLINI CAN MANAGE TO SCORE MORE POINTS THAN XAVIER THEY WILL WIN!

Play average on defense. Run any offense, anything that keeps us from standing around for 25 seconds and chucking contested 3’s and we win this by 20. Movement on offense and not settling for 3’s is the key to the sweet 16.

I wish we could keep this team together for at least one more year. Always really admired Billy Donovan ability to keep Florida together for 2 championships, and Florida looks like it could gain another championship this year. I honestly think IL could win against anyone on any given night, but putting my emotions aside, I'm going with Houston Florida final

And getting after the ball screen instead of watching them. Their defense is way better when the bigs are getting after that screen.

Lol yah if we are just average and go through the motions we should boat race this Sean Miller coached Xavier team by 20

No matter what happens tonight, I'll be rooting for our boys to give us one more. It feels like just yesterday @Indy Illini Fan was breaking the news about Will Riley committing to the O&B. It's been a fun ride.
