Great coach ... No depth ... Needs more resources ...
Agree. I'd still take him as our HC in a heartbeat if Brad moved on elsewhere. He made some pretty nice adjustments tonight that kept them within striking distance for most of the game. They just ran out of steam at the end. He did a bang up job this year with the limited resources he had to work with this year.

If Sean is going to be their choice which everyone has told me that he's the target ... I expect a decision to come from Sean relatively soon ...

There are quite a few Texas boosters that want to gauge the interest of Self and Underwood ...

But can they afford to wait on Brad if we keep winning and risk ticking off Sean ... I don't think so ...

So Sean could be upset knowing he's not their first pick, but is there much to be upset about when it's Self and Underwood ahead of him? Rationally there isn't, but irrationally, what's he gonna do, turn down the Texas job if offered late and stick with Xavier, or is there another school interested in him (withTexas-level money of course)?

Not that I ever saw anything negative, but TA has been posting/reposting more Illini stuff of late. He has been pretty neutral most of the season, but I’m happy to see it now.
Except for extreme cases, there’s literally no point in burning bridges, especially in this era of extreme turnover of both coaches and players. You never know what’s gonna happen, so why close doors.

If indeed UT offers Miller will accept without delay. It's a top 10 job.

From what I heard, Sean just has to say yes to Texas. They’ll then fire Terry & announce Sean a few days later
Yea I have heard the same from a few of my buddies down in Texas. But most of the guys I know want Brad period. They told me it was Brad then Bill then Sean.. I just don't see anyway Bill is moving on from Kansas.

Is Texas even open yet? Does Terry have a contract through this or next year?

Texas always handles their searches like this, they try to find their guy and make him say yes before they make a move

When the "it's all about the tournament" crowd's favorite Brad replacement loses to Brad in the first round of the tournament:

lol. With your connections 😉, have Sean make a secondary deal with Josh so he’s locked in if Brad leaves! We’re a basketball school, Sean would rather be here anyway!

How we feelin' about Sean Miller now? :sneaky:
I think everyone should feel exactly how they felt before. Brad is our guy until he isn’t. I’m still thankful every day that we have Brad. Sean is also a very, very good coach. I thought Brad coached a good game last night, but let’s not get it twisted on the caliber of players we have compared to X.
If I had choose between the two, well I will never have to, but I’ll take Brad.
I for one will be more than surprised if Brad doesn’t retire at Illinois.

The timeline will be interesting. Especially if Texas waits until after our game Sunday, which I expect them to do.
