Sources: 4-star G Adams decommits from UConn
McDonald's All American Darius Adams, a top-30 recruit in the 2025 class, has decommitted from UConn, sources told ESPN.
We aren’t the only program that experience this
Heck, people slept on Tomi this year. He was IL's most important player, IMO. Having his brother with him next season should be good for both Tomi and the team.People are really sleeping on the type of season Tomi is about to have/how good our front court is going to be.
He had an incredible game against Missouri. I'll give you that one.I can live w 2 turnovers per game. I cant live w 6 turnovers per game.
Vs Northwestern 31pts
Vs Missouri 26 pts
Vs Vandy 17 pts
Vs USC 20 pts
He did fine vs b10 and sec
I really don’t see the point in recruiting high schoolers anymore UNLESS you are getting the best of the best. Freshmen, even really talented ones, are going to play like freshmen, make mistakes, and be really up and down. We saw that last year. Are we getting to a time that even recruiting H.S. seniors be a thing of the past for this program. It seems all the effort and $$ is for portal transfers.
Feels like the supply of really, really good players is low and the demand is high. Not only that, programs are willing to keep raising the stakes. At what point do these guys just say “the fit at Illinois is best, let’s get this moving”? I’m hoping that will be the case here. The price for Andrej is over $3 million as of this evening ...
Tomi was pretty elite from the arc for a guy his size. A terrific passer too if he can get better at some of the bad ones he got baited into. And if he can ever develop a dependable jumper from 8 ft. rather than his flick shot, he could be All-America. I am certain my observations and more have been noted by the staff and look forward to his 25-26 season. Kid is a star.Heck, people slept on Tomi this year. He was IL's most important player, IMO. Tomi had a fantastic year. Better than I ever could have imagined. He was terrific, IMO.

at what number do we walkThe price for Andrej is over $3 million as of this evening ...
I like that if it means he is willing to work to earn having starter minutes. The price tag for Kennard Davis Jr (SIU) is reportedly roughly the same as Miller and he doesn't have all of the handler baggage/circus
If we are going to pivot, lets start there
EDIT: Davis wants to be a starter though and that isn't guaranteed here
We almost can’t afford to walkat what number do we walk
I'm afraid IL doesn't understand the free market. Pick the guy that you want, and then pay what it costs.at what number do we walk
Would Monsanto and Dorn cost us much less than that? If so, Andrej is a hard pass for me.The price for Andrej is over $3 million as of this evening ...
Ok. If that is what it’s going to take to get it done, do you do it???The price for Andrej is over $3 million as of this evening ...
If we don’t close something quick the price for Ace will be 1.5 and for Andrew will be over 4. Crazy we walked from Dame for 2.5 milThe price for Andrej is over $3 million as of this evening ...
I agree with you. If this is the guy you have targeted and feel like he fits how you want to play, you need to get it done.I'm afraid IL doesn't understand the free market. Pick the guy that you want, and then pay what it costs.
Exactly. We can’t keep saying that other schools are overpaying our targets. We simply aren’t willing to pay top price. Maybe we can’t afford that, but then we should maybe stop kidding ourselves that we should be shopping on the top shelf.I'm afraid IL doesn't understand the free market. Pick the guy that you want, and then pay what it costs.
