That turnaround jumper at 6'6" is killer, tho he might need to elevate a bit more at the next level. Looks like a great get if the Illini could lock him up. I'm surprised he isn't ranked, and I bet he will be soon.Kitt HS clips:
not bad for a soph
Why pass? He made every single shot!Does he ever pass the ball
I was talking about retention and last year when we only returned DGLLast year was hardly a disaster, you must be a youngster if you think last year was disaster for Illinois basketball.
That dude Indy posted from Bellaire in Houston could potentially fit the bill. Seems like he’s off the radar now and idk how much PT he’d get on a team of 22 year olds. He’s built like a grown man already though. He’ll probably be a nfl tight end in 5 years lolStill think if we fill one more spot if needs to be a 6-5 junkyard dog SG who can drill 3's.
Tre could have filled that role IMHO, not sure what the full story was. Maybe Ty can do this job as well, without a proven 3.

I would think that it would also depend on your goals and aspirations. Being on the bench at Illinois, getting the best facilities and coaching and a great education (if you choose to focus on it) can be a great start for someone who is unlikely to get paid to play after college. With the current state of basketball, seems better to go mid major if your out of top 30 and get a bunch of touches, shots, playing time... then transfer to higher Div 1 in year 2 or 3.
Or option is to use a redshirt year in hopes of getting PT in year 2 at high Div 1.

I agree, someone like this coming off the bench to give us legitimate minutes who looks to be athletic would help in case off the typical injury or illness we seem to get during the season. He looks like a kid who could be comfortable as a role player.Johnson reminds me of jamir watkins.
I think that player costs about $3M these days, if you can find them.Still think if we fill one more spot if needs to be a 6-5 junkyard dog SG who can drill 3's.

Yes, you can add Brutus from tO$U too.Can a mascot have a punchable face?
if a HS kid needs a body makeover (most do), a school with a conditioning/strength program to get "fletched"With the current state of basketball, seems better to go mid major if your out of top 30 and get a bunch of touches, shots, playing time... then transfer to higher Div 1 in year 2 or 3.

Does this guy cost 3mil? Perfectly fits his description.I think that player costs about $3M these days, if you can find them.
Practically speaking - if it's a mid-major, potential 10-20 min. bench guy... doubt this is true.I think that player costs about $3M these days, if you can find them.
Likely would be at least 2mil. Still a lot.Does this guy cost 3mil? Perfectly fits his description.

Quincy G 2.0 would be nice on this squad for sure and I doubt would cost that for someone like him.I think that player costs about $3M these days, if you can find them.
How about Pisshead Pete at Purdue?![]()

would love to have the option to sit either Boswell or Petrovic and play another guard with stokavic at the 3.Adding more depth never hurts and he seems like he can help across multiple dimensions- shooter, rebounder, defender at the SF/SG position
Plus he’s a senior with 4 years of experience- to clarify I think he would just have one year left, correct? The NCAA waiver this year gives guys who played non D-1 one more year like Ben, but not two more years
Had second thoughts about my post and decided to delete my original reply.Yes, you can add Brutus from tO$U too.
