Nebraska looks mid yet again. I really thought this would be the year they would take the next step. Obviously, it's the first game so no need to jump down my throat....
I'm just not that impressed, nothing they have really sticks out. Just serviceable/solid all around.

Side note. Wish we got Dane Key in the portal. I do like his game

Agreed. That being said, I'd prefer him to throw a bit more than what he showed tonight. Running against a Dayton team is one thing but it's gonna be tough to sustain against stiffer competition. EIU still ended up rushing for 336 yards as a team though.

Game probably shouldn't have been as close as it ended up being. EIU played a really sloppy game, turning the ball over 3 times.

Panthers return to action a week from Saturday at Indiana State. Kickoff is set for Noon with the game airing on ESPN+.

Nebraska can't stop the run to save their lives. Cincy doesn't have this whole new "forward pass" concept figured out and they still are able to get whatever they want on the ground.

What did we just watch? Seriously... Why wouldn't you continue to gash the defense with runs and at worse kick the FG?
Better to be lucky then good I guess.

Nebraska could have ended it on that last drive but they always go away from their running game. It's like 4 to 6 yards a carry gets boring for them and they decide to throw.
