True, but has nothing to do with the point I was making

A guard trio of McNeely, Brown and Conwell is amazing, but they are all 6'4 or taller

We can't add Pettiford and play 3 guys under 6-2 heavy minutes, was my original response to the other person hoping we would pursue

They just took the florida blueprint of three guard lineups (which is smart). They'll have 3 of the 4 out there almost all of the time. Plus they also got Pryor back, along with many others.

No doubt a top 5 team IMO.

I guess the point is that doesn't mean Brad should just turn down Pettiford if we have the $$ (which we don't, obviously). Maybe someone does get left out, but great teams figure out having "too many" such and such (i.e. the louisville analogy this year - who obviously won't start 4 guards together).

at this point, what school would be able to come up with $2M? i'm sure some could scrounge it up from donors but unlikely. probably in Pettiford's best financial interest to just stay put.

Possibly a Pearl hating Illinois donor. 🤷‍♀️

In all essense, he likely got paid very handsomely to go back to Auburn. Could've possibly gone end of 1st round IIRC.

hope your not referring to me as the other person hoping we would pursue Pettiford ......I was just asking a question about what $$$$ he should command........if you were referring to me , I never insinuated us pursuing him......not at all.........
