Why did a bunch of people follow me today?I did it to be like everyone else. Your comment made me feel left out.
Anderson didn’t like that they had such a low budget for assistant coaches.Oddly Gary Andersen left Wisconsin for Oregon State
Thanks lol
Might very well be true but that's what we all thought about Indiana last year. Look at em now.Vandy has had exactly 0 playoff caliber teams in their history. Coming into this year, their best team went 8-4 and they have NEVER finished in the top 5 in the SEC. Every single team in the SEC has a far better football history than Vandy does - there is nobody even close. Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas are all national powers historically with massive fan bases and funding. Not only does Vandy have to be better than 3 or 4 of these teams to make a playoff, they also have to be better than Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Auburn and Missouri, who all have strong histories and massive funding. And if they can somehow also be better than these 4, they also have to beat out Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi State, who all look at Vandy as their ideal homecoming opponent.
What you are seeing out of Vandy this year is a once in a century type of thing. The chances of it happening again in our lifetime are extremely small. Given all this, you are telling me Vandy has a better chance of making a playoff than a school such as Clemson or Georgia Tech - that it is more likely Vandy will be a top 5 SEC team than it is that Ga Tech is a top 2 ACC team?
Assuming that Memphis is skewing the results. Love NashvilleTN ... we're number 3 in the nation in violent crime. As they say, you come down for the music and BBQ, and you stay 'cause you got murdered.
Vandy is a nice campus, however.
Vanderbilt has a hell of a lot of money. Whether they will throw it at football is another question. So far they have upped the ante a fair amount.I agree those are good jobs. My main point is BT/SEC jobs are a different level. BT/SEC are cherry picking another 6ish of the best jobs in the next couple years so that’s 41 schools in the BT/SEC and ND and all of the power and most of the money. Non BT/SEC schools are not in a good spot and are in a worse spot in 2030.
The Athletic this week ranked Vandy as 10th best job in the SEC. That means they are inside the Top 20 by their rankings. Safely inside top 30 nationally. My point wasn’t to quibble where but to point out it’s a great job in modern football.
I live here and your assessment is spot on.Nashville is known for country music and hot chicken. Yes, the traffic sucks, because so many people want to live there. Nashville is booming not just because of country music and hot chicken. Any type of music you might want to hear you’ll find in Nashville. My wife and I joke that the worst band we hear in Nashville would be the best local band we hear in STL. (Some truth to that)
They have the Titans and Predators. Vandy is beautiful. Concerts galore from every genre. Every kind of food you could want. Large police presence on and around Broadway to keep the vibrant night life as safe as reasonably possible.
Nashville is awesome to this non-country music fan who doesn’t care to eat hot chicken.
Memphis is #number 1!, but it probably says something about me that my 2 favorite cities (NOLA & Nashville) are top 15 in crime...Assuming that Memphis is skewing the results. Love Nashville

Another extension for Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz? Here's what could be coming.
University of Missouri administrators seem willing to raise Eli Drinkwitz's salary and keep the popular football coach in Columbia.www.stltoday.com
Pretty sound reason for us extending BB.So many coaches are about to get extensions this offseason because there's a whiff of interest and decision makers will be terrified of being the 17th best available job.

Enjoy 6 months of god awful humidity and heat and snakes!!! They have lots of them.Just my personal experience from my little corner of the world, so take it as you will, but I have multiple people in both my family and friends groups who are planning to retire in Tennessee. All originally from here (Chicago area). Hotter than hot as a retirement destination around here. And those that don't pick Tennessee are choosing Texas.
Lotta Illinoisans in the Scottsdale area as well.Just my personal experience from my little corner of the world, so take it as you will, but I have multiple people in both my family and friends groups who are planning to retire in Tennessee. TN has high business fees or license fees that offset the state tax exemption.......I had 2 agents in TN and they lamented about the cost of being a registered rep in TN......my daughter lives in Southaven MS which is just south of Memphis and she always talks about how violent Memphis is.....glad she doesn't have to commute to work through that crime riddled town.......she also said she sees a lot of TN license plates at the Walmart in Southaven because of the high sales tax in TN.........she said if any town in the USA needed troops sent in , then Memphis should be # 1 on that list.......just her humble opinion.......TN ... we're number 3 in the nation in violent crime. As they say, you come down for the music and BBQ, and you stay 'cause you got murdered.

Bert is likely going to be one of them.So many coaches are about to get extensions this offseason because there's a whiff of interest and decision makers will be terrified of being the 17th best available job.
