Can someone explain Finney's injury? The article that I read said that she had "bilateral knee procedure", What is that?

I wish we could get the radio feed up in the Chicago area

Up at halftime 42-32 and where can I get my Parchment jersey? The whole team looked great against a very good Maryville team. Whole team played great D non stop. You are going to love our Freshmen. Parchment with 12 points, 8 rebounds, plays defense against bigger players and can bring the ball up the court after she rebounds. Good all around player. Jackson was a 5 star player for a reason and showed it tonight, quick, non stop motor , good shot , goes to the hoop and a pest on D. 7 points for her at halftime in limited action after starting and does control the ball well. Nice to have several big players and size should be much less of a problem this year. Limited time for Naomi Benson but she has the talent and motor to go to the hoop for rebounds its obvious. VERY deep team this year.

At the half the Illini lead 42-32.............Coach Green is experimenting with rotations a lot tonight and one thing I see is better defense and much more depth than last year even with 2 players already injured and out for the season.........

Parchment is having a great game so far with 12 points and 8 rebs.........she joined the team last year for the second semester but didn't play so she is a true freshman.....she played great in the international games before joining the Illini and is very athletic for her size.....

Dolan is moving great this year and hit a 3 and a couple mid range jumpers........Jasmine hit a nice 3 from the corner.....

overall it was a great 1st half of the only exhibition and after Maryville hit numerous 3's in the 1st qtr to shutting it down in the 2nd qtr...........

I am very happy to see increased size on the team and hope for another tourney team and exciting WBB throughout this new season.......I really really do.............

Agreed, shocked at how good she's doing. Legit.
I know its not a regular season game and only in third quarter but wow she has 17 points 10 rebounds in just 20 minutes and does everything, smart player too. I like her at 6-3 with 6-7 Lety Vasconcelos

79-60 Illini victory.....................very impressed with our play especially the newcomers.......Parchment with a double double 22 & 13....
Gretchen with 17 points and more importantly no sign of any sign of her injury from last year......

Plenty of various rotations and seemingly no drop in production from anyone who played.....

Playing with a 6'7" center is a welcome addition to being outsized last year in many games.........

Destiny with 9 points and 4 steals.........true freshman PG with hustle and D.......

our defense was top notch tonight.............

GREAT GAME LADIES !!!

Agree with everything said above. One nitpic-rebounding. Need more of it from our smaller players. Guyton was in a boot on the bench. Didn't see the other two injured players at all.

Thank you to all of the above and of course Dan too for the reviews, comments, stats and postgame vids. Yes, I am even more excited for this Season now. I am most thrilled to have Gretchen back - she is one smart solid tough player. Go Illini.

Haven’t seen a full box score. What were the team rebounding numbers for both schools? Curious if we out rebounded them and if so by how much.

Just watched entire Maryville game on Youtube.

I am so looking forward to this season. If Guyton comes back we are 7-8 deep.

Parchment is all b10 - great size, great rebounder, good handles, good outside shot.
Jackson is our starting point guard. She has the handle, can play defense and can score.
Dolan looks faster than before, shot has improved.
Lety uses her 6'7" height to rebound and score.
Maddie Weber looked great at 5'11". Can score and rebound a little.
Haggar Brown looked high motor and can defend.
Catoira looked OK in mop up- has some size 6'3"

Barely played
Smith still looks slow
Benson did not do much in 2 minutes

Did not play
Boot on Guyton - need her back !!!!
Season ending injuries - Alves and Finney - oww
