The real trophy

Fire Henry and fire Miller despite getting commitments from the #1 JC DB in the country and a top 3 JC O-Lineman in the country......good luck with that.

I can't imagine a defensive back committing with no defensive coordinator involvement and I can't imagine an offensive lineman committing without knowing who's coaching the unit.

Fire them both … Those guys aren’t leaving if you do …

And no kid from JUCO is worth keeping a coach …

It’s not like they’re the key to a generational QB …

While I get what you are saying, I will lose some faith in Bret if, at minimum, Bart Miller is not gone.

This is not a one season thing. We have had 3-4 seasons with fairly experienced linemen who took half a season (or all of a season) to look like they had even been practicing together. This year there was no excuse with all 5 starters returning from a 10 win team.

The defense has struggled all year with misdirection and NW did absolutely nothing to make them uncomfortable. Terrible game plan by them.

Northwestern was screwed once they lost their last RB. Having a TE play RB and a Qb that isn’t good was a recipe for disaster. They did have a chance to steal this game but failing to convert on 1st and goal from the 1 and not trying to run out the clock at the end of the 1st half killed them.

IL did enough to win and the offense did get really conservative probably due to how bad Stone was

I saw Henry calling plays in 2nd half. Not sure if anyone was whispering those plays into his headset first.

So just keep coaches who have struggled all season because we might lose a couple JC transfers? I mean, that's a choice.

The pictures and videos of the guys in snow after the game make me smile. For all the negative stuff people focus on, this was a fun season. Never going to take 8-4 for granted after what this program has gone through.

Can't make decisions that have to be made based on two players that will be gone after 2 years anyway. These are long term program improvements that have to be made to take the next step.

These guys committed like.......three days ago. Hard to believe that type of conversation wouldn't be #1 on the players agenda to discuss before committing. These aren't July commits.

If I take a job offer, it'd be good to know that the person who hired me wasn't in line to be fired.

We'll see, but it seems like weird timing. Isn't the timeframe between the end of the regular season and the bowl game a pretty big recruiting period?
