Maybe Fitz was in the stands and was given the walkie talkie? lol. Where was that pressure all year ?
Part of today* … but that doesn’t change the fact that those guys deserve major props for having some pride and stepping up! They won us the game.Defense came to play today! That was actually fun!
I hope that’s true. And wouldn’t those recruits have known that there is a very good chance of Henry and Miller being out after this season? Either they are OK with that or they made a very risky choice. Also it’s unlikely they’d follow them to what will be a lesser job.I think players committing to position coaches is significantly less of a thing, if it ever was a big thing.
Players (I mean the big-time ones who you'd really care about decommitting) are committing to $$$.
This is mercenary pro ball now.
Who will be the starting QB for the bowl game?
Losing juco commits would be tough but idt we really know why they committed. If Bret fires Bart and some guys leave then that’s just something we’ll have to deal with. But, it’s pretty clear that the oline is struggling and we’re losing some commits and battles. Two years ago we had Andrew Dennis (or some name like that) who was a 4-star IOL with offers from MSU PSU and Clemson who then flipped to MSU. We’re struggling in other OT and IOL recruitment battles (which prevents us from building up HS recruits) and our oline has a hard time w protecting Luke and setting up lanes for RBs. At a minimum moving on from Miller is the right move.Fire Henry and fire Miller despite getting commitments from the #1 JC DB in the country and a top 3 JC O-Lineman in the country......good luck with that.
I can't imagine a defensive back committing with no defensive coordinator involvement and I can't imagine an offensive lineman committing without knowing who's coaching the unit.
How far was Bret's foot up his a** at halftime?Aaron was calling the defense lol
Agree. But fans love firing coaches when their expectations aren’t met.Fire Henry and fire Miller despite getting commitments from the #1 JC DB in the country and a top 3 JC O-Lineman in the country......good luck with that.

I typically agree with this notion, but in this case it seems crystal clear the AH lacks that certain sumthin' sumthin' that a really big-time creative defensive mind doesn't, and which probably would have meant a W vs Wisconsin at the very least and maybe even a W vs Warshington.Agree. But fans love firing coaches when their expectations aren’t met.
Just seems crazy to fire a coach after getting 8 wins.
I think the only 2 players we have that should consider not playing in the bowl game are Jacas and Bailey. It should be Luke. I don’t think a mid round at best QB has sat out a bowl game but played the Senior Bowl which I expect Luke to play in.
how about a victory cigar?
Caught ya Mike Carpenter! Knew you did more than lurk in here...how about a victory cigar?
