Fact of the matter is this … I don’t see ANY EDGs on that court anymore …

Until that changes … These frustrating losses and getting bounced before the 2nd weekend will continue to happen …

Who’s the leader on this team ??? I don’t see anyone stepping up …
Agreed, no one is that guy, yet. I things Wags could be that leader like Ayo was.

Today’s refs need to pop on the Pitt vs Purdue volleyball match to see what real technicals look like. Big Z could get some game face on if he flipped over to women‘s VBall.

As long as Underwood is coach we will be above competitive but rarely great. Offensive scheme is horrible ISO offense. Gone are the days of moving without the ball. Defense is extremely SOFT. Thank goodness we have talent to overcome his poor schemes.

Chill all. We played great. You can’t do much when a team shoots crazy like that. These games happen and you roll with the punches—-on to the next one.
No, great teams so not miss 6 FTs in 20 attempts. A couple were front ends. We make 4 FTs and it’s game over.

Brad wins by overwhelming teams with size and talent. That's his recipe to win. He runs an offense that wouldn't look out of place for an intramural team.

Yes he's 10-4 against Hoiberg because he has had way more resources and far more talent plus Hoiberg inherited a dumpster fire in 2019. He should probably be 14-0 when you look at the roster comparisons.

Nebraska has won the last two, two years before they took the TSJ team down to the wire twice in games that should have never been close.

- “Runs an office that wouldn’t look out of place for an intramural team” - for an offense that now sits 5th nationally.

- you’re now calling an 11 point win in the big ten tournament “down to the wire”

The drama man. The drama.

Good teams don’t let the refs decide the game at home.

Our effort was terrible for the first 8-10 mins each half.

The fact we needed to try to steal a win at home speaks volumes.

Nebraska is good. But that’s no excuse.

Michigan is going to destroy us at this rate.

When you post out numerous times that "nobody will work harder or play harder than us" and then regularly - meaning that it has happened multiple times and become habitual in the last two years - get outworked and out hustled by less talented teams (on paper) it is not a good look. And that is what we have seen. It's one thing to lose a well contested game. But we did not CONTEST much today.

Unexpected losses - especially those on our home court when we have been fairly heavy favorites - in large part are the reason for lower seeds and early exits in the tournament. Looking more and more like a repeat of that result this year.

One of the most miserable games I’ve watched as a fan. Made ZERO winning plays when it mattered most, Tomi 3 aside. Just incredibly frustrating.

This team has round of 32 exit written all over it again 🤬
Zero winning plays when it mattered? Didn't we hit a three on each of our last three possessions? (Maybe I'm misremembering) Pretty clutch there. Imho, we gotta stay outta situations where you need to rely on that.

And on a lot of our free throws, and shots from the field early in the game, we looked like we were just hoping we hit them, rather than determined to make them.

It always amazes me how many people act like Brad is some legend and we couldn’t possibly do any better …

I like Brad … I think he’s a good coach … But let’s not go acting like he’s elite … Because he’s not …

1 second weekend in 9 years …

If we want to consider ourselves an ELITE program … 1/9 doesn’t cut it …

There is no better daily “How mad are you at Brad” barometer than if we choose to punish him for missing a sweet 16 in a year the tournament didn’t happen lol

And also including a year where the tournament didn’t happen yet…

Yes … And I don’t think Crocker is any better …

This team has no identity defensively …

I don’t expect this team the way it’s constructed to be elite defensively but we certainly could scheme better than we have based on the pieces we have to work with …
Before the season ever started, Crocker was touted coming in as being the cat's meow, better than sliced bread, someone to turn things around defensively - why the change of heart here and the negativity now - were we duped?

You know what makes it easier to get to the second weekend? Having a protected seed.

You know what makes it harder to get a protected seed? Having uninspired home losses on your schedule every year.

All talk … No action … From Brad …

Brad said he’s gonna let Crocker run the show … We’ve seen that at times … At other times, it’s clear to me at least that he’s being over ruled …

Other times … I don’t agree with Crocker … Bam used to be all world defensively and for a couple weeks, he’s looked below average … Are we not putting him in the right spots ??? I’d argue that’s the case sometimes … Bam should’ve been on Lawrence at the end of the game tonight … If our guys can’t guard Hoiberg’s boy then they should go play for Eastern Illinois … They’re not good enough to play here …

But hey - that’s my opinion …

*Excellent recruiter. Mediocre coach.

He's routinely got out coached by guys like Hoiberg, Shrewsbury, and Willard. The results haven't been pretty when playing against actually excellent coaches like Dan Hurley, Sampson, or Oats.
I've said a version of this many times.

Thinking back to when Self left like a thief in the night, there was a repeated refrain of him being a "great recruiter and poor bench coach". That was a lot of sour grapes, but, ironically I think this is what Brad actually is. I thought at the end of last year he needed to turnover a couple spots on the staff to get some stronger X's and O's help. Didn't happen.

Nobody’s punishing anybody … Facts are this … 1 second weekend since 2017 …

That’s unacceptable at elite level programs … And hey if we wanna be a good program, maybe 1 second weekend since 2017 is acceptable …

Maybe losing to Nebraska at home is acceptable for good teams …

I don’t wanna be f’ing good … I want to be ELITE … And both of those things are UNACCEPTABLE in ELITE programs …

The real problem is not enough emphasis on our other players being ready and able to help when they get those mismatches against us. Just step out and stop the ball or make them change direction once in or or even trap it and make them give it up all together.
That’s a fair point and something Nebraska does really well for the most part. That still requires some athleticism but if you rotate properly, you can overcome that. We’re just very poor fundamentally.
