Supposedly firing him for cause based on his rant? Seems weak given the coaching rants over the years...
Only makes sense to me as a negotiating ploy for the buy out..No way that “cause” will hold up. Bush league attempt by an AD to cover up his own mistake by giving Tang that ridiculous contract.
Who wants to go play for AD that would try this?
Of course this assumes the early reports are right.
If I were K State my first call would be Josh Schertz.

Schertz will have better options. Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Arizona State., etc.
A weak one. If I was Tang I’d be telling them I’ll see you in court.Only makes sense to me as a negotiating ploy for the buy out..
stupid to go for cause if it's just because they stink.A weak one. If I was Tang I’d be telling them I’ll see you in court.

LOL....Like I have always said and believed, if you can dream it, you can achieve it!!Tyler needs to find a spot, maybe after next season, where the previous coach left a solid program to move up.
He arrives, wins early, and adds some things he's learned at Illinois, and builds his HC chops.
Then Brad retires after 28-29 season, and Tyler comes back to win our fifth consecutive National Championship in 29-30.
It won’t hold up in court. They should be embarrassed to even try this.Apparently his contract has language that references any activity that brings "public disrepute, embarrassment, ridicule" to the school.
I agree, but K State would be crazy not to call.He can and will do better …
Just remember Brad has a clause in his contract that unless certain criteria is met he can't leave to be a HC at any other NCAA school. Now is "If the K-State job opens up" is one of those criteria who knows. I'd wager it isn't and he isn't looking to take that job.

Man, it will be nice to have an off-season without this stuff. Well done Josh.Brad isn’t leaving … Brad is retiring at Illinois …
I wouldn’t even call it a rant… more like an honest take from a frustrated coach. I suspect the university will lose this lawsuit.Supposedly firing him for cause based on his rant? Seems weak given the coaching rants over the years...
No! I don’t want him leaving SLU. It’s nice having 2 fun basketball teams to watch. If I were K State my first call would be Josh Schertz.
I dm'd Jennifer Aniston after the divorce too.I agree, but K State would be crazy not to call.
His “leader of men” shtick aged about as fast as spoiled milk.Just 3 years ago he was the biggest coaching darling.
Unfortunately the lawsuit is the point though...it's time and money Tang will have to spend that the school can point to to try and pay less.I wouldn’t even call it a rant… more like an honest take from a frustrated coach. I suspect the university will lose this lawsuit.
I can give you about 19 million reasons why this is happening…….(but I clearly know you already know itHow far that place has fallen …
Huggins, Martin … And THIS is what gets a guy canned for cause ?? Lol …
I’m just surprised there are enough UCLA fans to surround anything of anyone. As someone surrounded by UCLA fans, I can assure you they’d be open to a Cronin move as well.
