If they come back and beat Michigan, all will be forgotten. If not, we're probably looking at a ceiling of a 3 seed.
He was not good, I agree. But he shot 8 FT's, had 6 assists, and was fairly productive when he took it to the rim. Just couldn't make a jumper.19 points on 15 shots(33% shooting) is really rough night. There a lot of empty trips baked in there.
Question: Why didn’t Brad challenge that foul on Zvonimir against Perry with 15 seconds left in regulation? I didn’t see any contact. Is that not a challengeable play?
Thanks in advance.![]()
I could be completely out to lunch. But I believe in the Lute Olson Iowa days, Illinois blew a huge lead, because they could not beat the Iowa press. What is the record for Illinois having a lead and giving it up? Have the Illini ever lost a game where we were up by at least 23 points?
Don’t think you can challenge foul calls.Question: Why didn’t Brad challenge that foul on Zvonimir against Perry with 15 seconds left in regulation? I didn’t see any contact. Is that not a challengeable play?

Minor contact to his body. Pretty tricky tack call, but once they make it they will almost never take it back.Question: Why didn’t Brad challenge that foul on Zvonimir against Perry with 15 seconds left in regulation? I didn’t see any contact. Is that not a challengeable play?

I think that challenging foul calls is only an NBA thing.Question: Why didn’t Brad challenge that foul on Zvonimir against Perry with 15 seconds left in regulation? I didn’t see any contact. Is that not a challengeable play?

Lose one or two games like this and chalk it up to a learning experience. But when you continue to lose again and again in a similar manner, that is a problem. We are good, but not good enough.
I wonder if Mirk got his bell rung when he took that hard elbow to the back of the head and it affected him the remainder of the night.I wonder what Mirk’s text to Underwood will look like after this one.
Thank you.Minor contact to his body. Pretty tricky tack call, but once they make it they will almost never take it back.
Like make 1 more FT in regulation or don't take a 3 shot foul at the end of the first half.we also shot a REASONABLE % from 3 (31% - not great, but we were constantly in the 20s last year) and only had 9 turnovers.
Truth is, and no one would like to hear it - we’ll win if we play like that ALMOST 100% of the time. Today was just the minute exception.
Or we could just win.So it’s a bad thing the losses are all buzzer beaters and/or OT? If we had just not fought back to tie it and lost by 6 or whatever in regulation we’d have less of a problem? We need to lose with greater variety.
Not me.Wondering how many here would’ve supported fouling immediately so we could have run that final play right back at them?![]()
I think he wanted to keep the time out in case he needed to stop the clock.Question: Why didn’t Brad challenge that foul on Zvonimir against Perry with 15 seconds left in regulation? I didn’t see any contact. Is that not a challengeable play?

Good pointHope Mirk is not out because of the clubbing he took on the flagrant. He was a total non factor and we missed what he brings to the table.
Young guys can put this game behind them much quicker than the coaches and older fans.I think we killed our legitimate shot at a #1 seed with this loss but yes, I still think this is a FF quality team. I have zero concern about how these guys will react. Bad loss, take it out on Michigan.
ditto. Why didn't the coach see thatAll of the 3s in 2nd half were short. Took to many of them instead of getting in the lane.

Absolutely BRUTAL call. Brad noted it post game and he's 100% right. He said just enough to get his point across, but not get fined.
