Week of 2/23 Games Thread

It's probably just in my head, but I swear to God there are so many more "dud" nights this year for it being mid-February than I remember in the past. I got done with a busy day at work last Thursday and cracked open a beer, and when I went to see what top 25 games were on ... there were ZERO. There were also zero the Thursday before (February 12) and ONE on February 5 (Michigan spanking PSU at home, how exciting! Why are networks stacking good games all on one night and totally punting on other nights??

It's also probably a side effect of the Big Ten being so top heavy this year, but I also feel like so many nights are just a list of crap games, haha. If you wanted to flip on the TV and catch some good conference action last night, you could watch Washington/Rutgers or you could tune into Northwestern/Indiana or you could watch Michigan be a huge favorite vs. Minnesota or you could watch an underwhelming UCLA/USC matchup if you wanted to stay up that late, lol.

I get that every night can't have good games, let's be clear. It just seems like there are so many more boring nights compared to how relatively exciting college hoops has been this year, and it makes me think that they are like stacking way too many top games around a small window.

I agree. I was really impressed when we played them how there players moved without the ball its not talked alot nowadays but thats how you get easy baskets without a true alpha

Huge huge agree on scheduling... Tues, Thu and Fri (and Sunday evenings) all are pretty barren across the sport most weeks, not sure why it seems 90% of quality games have to be played on Mon/Wed/Sat. Going out for Mexican and some beers tonight for dinner and just happy there's some decent ball on to watch when we get home.

you should get BTN + and watch all our conference games whenever you want to..........you really really should...............

Why do games on Peacock/NBCSN have audio that sounds like the announcers are on AM radio?

Big East is so atrocious. Be the equivalent of playing teams at the level of Iowa or worse for an entire conference schedule

Here’s the thing about Sean Miller’s Texas team:

They’re really good offensively — 6th on Kenpom, 6th in the nation in points per possession

But foul A LOT, and are not good defensively (118th).

Hoping they can pull it off against Florida.

JMO, really don’t think that UConn loss helps us in any regard. It hurts us.

It’s one more in the loss column (I mean, that has to SOMEWHAT matter) and you lose any type of head to head comparison with UConn the rest of the year.

Hadn’t looked at Texas profile too much, interesting there’s so much of a gap there. Hopefully Sean Miller can do us a solid and go ahead and knock off Florida.

Reink Mast looks an absolute shadow of the former self he was during the Nebby win over us. Whatever injury he suffered looks like it's taken away any jumping ability he had.
