The wind was blowing straight in yesterday too.
let me see that same improvement from the manager and front office.the last thing this team needs right now is a change in who the manager is...........Marmol has done a very good job managing the Cardinals with what he's had to work with.................he seems to be a player's type manager and that is important in this full rebuild and reset.................
yes , he has done an admirable job managing the bullpen with what he's had to work with........Helsley was such a dilemma as a closer even though he had numerous saves in his Cardinal's career.....his time with the Mets left a lot to be desired as he now is with , I think , the Orioles........I wonder what his numbers will be in the future..............
I am looking forward to this year with hopes that we see some improvement from Gorman , Walker , etc .....I really really am..................
Yea he's only had 330 PAs in AA. Let him start in AAA, go through another 300 PAs where pitchers adjust and attack him in different ways, then let him take over full time for Walker who's likely on the end of yet another MLB starting time leash he squandered.
A minor league option allows a player to move down and up without having to pass through waivers. The option is not per demotion to the minor league, but per season. So it's more accurate to say Walker has one option season remaining. There is a limit to the number of 5 options used in one option season (without having to pass through waivers), so if the Cardinals exercise it any time this season, he can be moved down to AAA and back up to the majors up to 5 times without having to pass through waivers.I think Walker only has 1 option left. Is that correct? If so and he starts in StL and then gets sent down he has to pass thru waivers to come back up. If all of that is true it would be beyond stupid to not have him in Memphis and make him hit his way back to StL.
Got it, thanks for the clarification.A minor league option allows a player to move down and up without having to pass through waivers. I remember a few years ago when I thought every time a player went to AAA it counted as being optioned. There were a few teams that were sending players back and forth every couple of weeks and it made me nervous. Then someone explained it was per year.Got it, thanks for the clarification.
I was told last night by another DIRECTV customer, who is trying to get Cardinal baseball in 2026 that DIRECTV is not offering the MLB service to new customers like me who have traditionally watched on 671 until March 24. I am hoping that means DIRECTV is still working on something for 671, which we pay a premium for already.I am a DIRECTV viewer. I just got off the phone with DIRECTV. I am also located in the viewing area and watch on 671. As of today it will be a $150 charge to watch Cardinal baseball on MLB network channels 721-749. I told the agent to go ahead and add that to my account. She suggested that I wait until March 27 to do that, because things could change and the Cardinals might be back on 671. She would not elaborate any further.
