Retention may end up being better than I expected. Still needs to go public, but promising.
This would be hugely important news IF it comes to fruition. Chemistry and connectivity like we saw last year is not easy to develop. Retaining as many of those chemistry and culture pieces as possible would be big.

It also doesn’t hurt with our sell to other players. Prospective additions want to know who they will be playing with.

1.) Most Things Aren’t Comedy Gold…they’re mildly amusing at best.( Including most of your posts.)
2.) It’s a “Richard” Pun…I wasn’t trying to be Carl Sandburg.

Given it's going to be different for every individual, but I wonder in general how these players (BB or FB) value and weigh out the money side with the culture, environment, people, experience side. Like how significant, how much do they value the latter when also thinking it's likely only a one year commitment at a time (not like planning to be somewhere for a career).

I also acknowledge there are many other factors every individual is taking into consideration for themselves as well.

This is no shade on TSJ (I actually think he was marginally a better player), but it’s going to be harder TO REPLACE Keaton than it was Shannon.

Just because of the on-ball productivity. VERY hard to find a player that’s as good a scorer AND decision-maker. Why he’s a top 6 pick.

I don't think so. It's hard to replace a guy as physically dominant as Shannon. They have several targets and an incoming freshman who can come in and put up similar type of numbers. It may be a while until Illinois has somebody that dominant. You just had to be there. If he doesn't serve that suspension, AA and probably POY.
