Murray is getting so bad he needs to leak nudes again to stay relevant

Tell me you never watched any of Terrence's college tape without telling me you never watched any of Terrence's college tape
I mean, he played off the catch from the wing a lot in college, increasingly so as Domask became a more conventional PG as that season went along, and did so very well.

But his superpower is open floor finishing, and in the NBA you can create "open" floors out of half court situations, and unlocking that is TSJ's highest calling in the NBA.

Microwave second unit scorer in the Jamal Crawford mold, that's the idea. But with Ant flanked by Ayo that role is kind of already spoken for.

Exactly. What Finch is saying can also be translated as "During the season we needed someone to play off ball, out on the corner, and create space for Ant. That's not the optimal role for TSJ. TSJ needs the ball in his hands, which he got tonight because of injuries."

Realistically, this doesn't change how Finch uses TSJ long term. Even though he knows the role TSJ excels in, he's not going to use him in that role when everyone is healthy because he doesn't need him for that. Time for an amicable divorce.

I would like to see TSJ go somewhere else where he could become more of an alpha dog in the near future. He's got it figured out.

Imagine him on last year's or this year's Illinois team with the spacing

Like many that follow on here, I want to see the former Illini succeed in the pros, but watching the wolves religiously since Ayo joined, I have been impressed with Finch as a coach. I love Ant as a player, but like most A list players, he’s a handful. That’s where coaches earn their money. In a world where many think the NBA plays no defense (watch closer) I also noticed Shannon struggles on defense at times. Defending on the switches is really difficult considering illegal screens are mostly ignored by officials.I imagine it takes time. It’s no different than Podz playing time situation as a freshman . Some think Underwood should have played Podz more. There aren’t many things easier in this world than second guessing coaches. JMHO
I was commenting based only on the text of the tweet.

When is the last time we've had 3 different former Illini score 30+ pts in the same NBA season? KJ also had 20+... Podz too if you really want to count him.

And the Minnesota stuff is so cool. Actually getting me a little interested in the NBA for the first time since Duncan was still in the league.
I mean, when’s the last time we’ve had three former Illini in the NBA??? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not taking anything away from TSJ but Murray is absolutely terrible at defense. The T'Wolves were basically targeting him with TSJ or McDaniels (whoever he was guarding) every possession.
