losing out on the cream sucks, but I love our new targets. no reaches, all BIG caliber prospects. great job by our ID staff. really think that most of these kids are gettable
It is really tough for UI to land top 10 instate prospects. Our bread and butter are the guys in the 11-30 range. If we get our share there and land a few from St Louis/IN/OH and a few Newtons and Witherspoons from FL and TX we will a consistent bowl team

This years top 10 are all national recruits. The Illinois class of 27 in really deep. Trae Taylor and Austin Coles are 2 kids that transfered out.

J.R. Koch who's son is Copper Koch played at Iowa and Derek Grimm played for Missouri.
Yep. Just meant football. That Morton team had J.R. Koch, Derek Grimm and another 6'7" guy with a last name of Litwiller. Watched them play in a regional final against Acie Earl and Moline back in the day. Great game.
