I was on the road. I could only get the Cubs announcers. The broadcast cleared up in the top of the 6th. They were gushing and giving him his flowers all the rest of the game.
I could hear the crowd cheering after his final AB. Was it praising him or happy that he made an out? Jack Buck would have explained it to the fans. I miss Jack.

Ricky Horton said he got goosebumps because Cubs fans were standing and applauding the moment.
