This team is a known entity. A league MVP, potent offense, elite defense, starting pitching that *can* win games, and a bullpen that will likely give a few pacemakers their money's worth come October.

They have to be up by like six in the seventh inning it feels like. Even last night kind of sucked. I think the way he is pitching Imanaga has to be on the wild card roster. Maybe forget about some of these bullpen guys. Maybe in one game you can have the starter go five, Imanaga and Peterson combine for three, and Zeferjahn or Palencia close out. IDK

Sometimes I wonder about Seiya’s approach at the plate. Seems like he takes a lot of called strike threes.
I agree. at least swing if its close, protect the plate with 2 strikes. a lot of times it seems like he takes called strikes right down the middle too
PCA left a lot of runners on base tonight
I think it was 9. And I think most were with less than 2 out
Looks like it is going to be a three way tie for the wild card if the Padres hang on and win. 8 games to go.

That is crazy that a 3-way tiebreaker may determine who gets to host Wild Card series and who gets shipped off to play a division winner (likely Atlanta).
The Cubs have the tiebreaker with both teams. Need to hang on and get the home field!
