Been a while since I've posted but here are my thoughts:
1. If forced to choose, the staff made the right call.
2. Ayo committed first. THT could have been told last Thursday/Friday that we were moving on - before the visit. And none of this becomes a problem.
3. Unfortunately the staff read...

Same type of shady behavior we were hoping to avoid. Dodged a bullet there I think.
Yea I don't get that. What pull does Lathon have with THT? THT and Ayo have much more pull on each other being from Chicago than Lathon from Mo.
THT has said himself how impressive the Illinois visit was.
You could only afford to sit him for the year if a 5th year big is also on board. Otherwise, yea there's no way he redshirts.
Under the same mediocre program logic, why would a consensus 5-star player be convinced that it's in his best interest to come play for that program at all?
I'm only...
I know what he's listed at. Watching his highlight videos though I think he looks like a pretty typical high school kid physically. He does appear to have plus athleticism (somewhere between probably right in the middle of Tisdale and Leonard) for a kid his size. Again, I think big men in most...
In terms of immediate playing time, couldn't agree more. But ranking isn't always an indicator of college readiness. I think he needs to RS b/c he doesn't appear physically ready, at least for B10 (or power 5). Then again, I'm on a message board :D
Big men, unless truly elite level big men...
Scruggs signed his NLI. Not him. The OP made it sound like we were getting back involved with someone from Indiana but maybe I read that wrong.
UI seems to be in the mix for Epperson.. maybe there is another?
EDIT: Not VJ Bailey or Abu Kigab either, they both signed NLI's with Oregon. Kiir...
Verge was All-State as a Sophomore at Willowbrook. Transferred to Proviso West for his Jr. year, was declared ineligible by IHSA, so he transferred to Arlington Country Day school in Florida. Now he's back home in Illinois playing for Harvey Thornton.
Basically, 4 high schools in 3 years and no...
Think if Epperson wants to come on board you have to take him. Then possibly a 5th year big so that Epperson could redshirt. Still would achieve class balance that way. Also theres a possibility that Pickett could redshirt with the amount of wings we have on the roster.
