The Purdue game earlier this year. The calls did go our way. We won. Purdue got frustrated. They couldn't execute. We shot great, but the officials had a huge effect on us winning the Purdue game.
I'm absolutely amazed and proud of our team in the amount of restraint they show, and how little they complain to the refs. It's Groce's job to get the point across to refs, and he absolutely should have got himself teed up.
I really do feel terrible for the players. They work their butts off and literally there was nothing they could do to in this game. It was taken from them. Straight up.
We all watch enough Big 10 ball to know that the refs aren't killing the game, they are trying to make it a game. It's what they do. It's hard wired. Calls will even out from here on out. Note the touch foul by Hayes that called out of the blue.
