Also worth noting he turned down at least $4.2M from Alabama in 2015. Even if Whitman is willing to spend an insane amount he'd have to enter a bidding war with the Koch brothers. I don't see him winning that.

Strangely enough I think my favorite iteration of the shield is a completely unintentional one. The twitter account "Illini Nation" is using the new shield as their profile picture, but twitter adds a rounded white border around it that cuts off just a bit of the top and bottom of the shield...

The Hornets ended up with so many logos out of that, I can't even imagine how they'll find a use for all of them: This board is having a tough enough time with one new logo, can you imagine if there were nine?

Yeah, it's really noticeable when you look at them side by side. I'm disappointed because I always thought Illinois had one of the best oranges in the country - not a weak pastel like Tennessee or an overbearing blazing orange like Florida, or a more muted red-orange like you said with Auburn...

Love the new Block I, really glad they decided to keep that as the primary logo. But the endless color and border variations.... why??? Can we not just have one standard logo?
