As played out as it is, it’s got a ways to go to match references to growth plates, wearing a Brian Cook jersey to school on commitment day, Germans, or Bill Self’s hair, IMO.

On the other hand, I’ll probably always snicker at references to Duhon’s rib, the bag o’excuses, following Tisdale, ladders, Maverick’s white collar comment, and anything Jeff Frank ever has said/will say in the future.

Duhon's rib was classic entertainment....

Depaul hung around with ND a little longer than I expected. Might be a tougher game next Friday than originally thought?

Nah, DePaul and ND were both terrible offensively in the first half; ND got itself in sync in the second half while DePaul remained terrible. Should be a comfortable win at home Friday.

That's all well and good but did you know that Tisdale was eating 6,000 calories per day?

Man looking at Nunns highlights one can only imagine how he could have been with a coach like BU.

So I was flipping through today and saw Chicago State getting clocked by Purdue (final score 111-42) and it made me think back of the time we played them and recalled it being close...

We won 82-79, but that Chicago State team only won four games that year (I think only one was against a D1 opponent, Western Illinois) other than that they only had one game as close as the Illinois game, a 72-74 loss to Utah Valley...

Moral of the story, I'm glad Groce is gone.

Mark it down,

Kendrick Nunn 3rd Team All American this year scoring about 23 ppg. Honorable mention at worst (is that a thing still?).

Any doubters, please watch the video posted above, wow.

Excluding ML, I always thought KN to be our best pro prospect since McCamey (i know, was wrong on that one). He has an understanding of game flow and timing and spacing that is really hard to teach. Add to that a quick first step, smooth lefty jumper, and relentless defensive motor and I think he has a decent shot at the league. Wish he would have made better off court decisions at Illinois.

Damn... more dunks by Nunn in that one game than he had at Illinois in 2 years
