You mean the same Google that turns up a cornucopia of articles about how there isn't a single agreed-upon definition and "it's hotly debated?"

I frankly do not care who is and isn't considered a blue blood. I care that the Illini win basketball games and prefer that Mizzou and Michigan and Indiana lose basketball games.

However, I do think it's laughable that anyone thinks there is an agreed-upon definition of blue blood.

These are just a few of the site that have a list of that 'agreed-upon definition of blue blood'. I found these on Google you know that place you said 'turns up a cornucopia of articles about how there isn't a single agreed-upon definition and "it's hotly debated?" They all have the same list of teams on them.

You find it laughable like there is some other 'agreed-upon definition of a blue blood'. There must be some alternate universe where there are a vastly different set of 'agreed-upon definition of blue blood' teams that are blue bloods.

Indiana ain't a blue blood program imo.... They were just 1 great coach. Since he left they are just another school
It is galling to me that we have lost ground so that Indiana is now ahead in all time wins 1896-1864 when 15 years ago we had a chance to overtake them.

You literally just posted a bunch of links with different nebulous definitions (or none entirely). Several of them were written specifically to argue in favor of a program being included, which wouldn't even be necessary if there was an agreed definition.

No I didn't. I literally posted articles stating 6 teams that are blue bloods: Kansas, Duke, IU, UK UCLA, UNC. They are listed in those articles. The agreed-upon blue bloods. I'm done going back and forth. You live in a world of denial.

I think we have the right team to beat Indiana.
So it's weird seeing a team that I think should be objectively better (Carolina) getting beat up on like this.
Does Hubert Davis kinda suck as a HC? #hottake
North Carolina mostly sucked for all of last season, then got hot in March for 5+ games.

That math turned them into a spectacularly overrated #1 team this year. It all evens out.

Someone’s definition of success long ago doesn’t mean the current incarnation of a team maintains blue blood status. I mean, by that logic, Cincinnati, Texas Western and the City College of New York (CCNY) are “blue bloods.”

Furthermore, Duke’s run of success began about the time Indiana’s was ending. Before 1986, Duke hadn’t had the level of success that afforded it “blue blood” status. And Indiana hasn’t had sustained success since 1987.

People don't even agree we went to the moon or the actual President sits in the oval office.
To be fair to the other poster, even when there's something close to consensus, there can still be subjectivity....but that's where fan forums come in, solving intractable issues and answering all your questions :p

Not joking around, I think he doesn’t always know where he is these days.
Heck, I coulda swore I read that he died a few years ago. Maybe that was just his brain. Although as far as I am concerned he has been brain dead a long long time.

I thought the Supreme Court settles this back in '64: I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced within that shorthand description ["College Hoops Blue Blood"], and perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly doing so. But I know it when I see it, and Indinia isn't it

If Oliver Wendell Holmes said it, it must be so.

North Carolina got hot in March/April They came into NCAA tournament as an 8 seed and made it to championship game. Basically replaced Manek with Nance. Seems like the 8th seed (top 35) might be where they should be rated.

In fairness similar to Indiana they returned everyone so should be higher than where they entered the tourney last year... Indiana went from bubble team to top 15 just by returning everyone and having a good recruiting class and no run in the NCAA. North Carolina has no reason to not be a top 5 team this year.... Clearly they aren't thus far

Agree and won't be surprised if Indiana doesn't meet the "high" expectations. Indiana is getting contributions from freshman (much more than North Carolina is).

I think he is from Hawkins Indiana and is friends with Steve Harrington.
Like, come on man. Steve is like a really good guy now. He was just misunderstood and stuff. Lol.

(I did not expect a Stranger Things reference. That’s hilarious. Good work.)
