Not true depending on other results. If Penn State beats Northwestern tomorrow we would not be, same with Rutgers/Minnesota and other games this weekend
NW/Penn State doesn't really have any bearing on it. We would still likely finish 8th. We need Rutgers to lose a game or MSU to lose to OSU Sunday.

Wow...MSU is having the second half @Nebraska that I wish we'd have had @OSU.
I'm assuming MSU beats OSU Sunday and finishes 11-8 and we go 1-1 in last two and finish 11-9.

Barring any major upsets, it’s likely:
If Penn State wins at Northwestern tomorrow nite, then IL is likely 7 vs 10 Penn State.
If NW beats Penn State, it’s likely IL vs MI in the 8/9.
That still has us at 8. We would be in a 3 way tie with Michigan and NW for 7th. Michigan would get the 7 seed because they would have the tiebreaker.

On the plus side, I'm fairly sure tonight's results mean there's no longer any chance of playing on Wednesday.

No at that point it goes to Michigan since they beat Maryland the number 2 team.

Nope, I looked at this wrong - in fact now there are only 3 things needed to fall to an 11 seed:
1. Lose out
2. Wisconsin wins out
3. PSU wins out

The vols game where their PG zeigler got hurt really will affect their team ......so sorry to see that .........hope it's not as bad as it looked , but he looked to be in a lot of pain with a knee injury.....he's a gritty player so hope he rebounds quickly......

We are better than an 8/9 seed, and I like our chances on a neutral (but close to home) court. If nothing else, we should get to 20 wins, get at least one win in the BTT, and have the potential to play spoilers.

If anyone wants to know the potential impact of "not showing up," Indiana's blowout loss at home to Iowa dropped them from #18 to #28 in the NET Rankings in one day. 
While it was fun to watch, we really don't want them to drop past #30, or our loss at home to them becomes Quad 2 instead of Quad 1.

Yeah, I'm conflicted. MSU and RU are SO close to being top 30 in the NET Rankings, which could make them TWO more Quad 1 wins for us ... that would be pretty huge. With that said, I really want to GO to the BTT, so I would like to be on the bottom half of the bracket and get the later game times, as well as avoid Purdue.

I know, wrong forum, but the Illini Women’s team play tomorrow evening, est tip time is 9 pm ET on BTN. They are a 6 seed and play Rutgers, who beat NW tonight.
