Also about what I expected out of the game yesterday. The US is not a good team and Bradley is awful at distributing the ball.

Good 3rd place and Final matchups. US has an opportunity to redeem themselves against a stout opponent. If we play smart, we can give them a game. The Final should be great.

The US has talent, but Klinsmann doesn't use it. I hate how he always talks about attacking, "going for it", "playing without fear" but then he plays guys like Beckerman and Wondoloski. That is the exact opposite of "going for it".

We're a different team if Altidore, Johanson(sp), and Wood are on the pitch last night. I'm still intrigued by Julian Green who may be in the dog house for his club team because he is playing for the USMNT instead of the Germans U23 team. He's in the bundasliga 2nd division and performing pretty good. We'll be tough in 18!!!!

We should be solid in 18, but I think 2022 can be a really fun year if everything works out. A lot of our young players now will be veterans but still in their prime like Brooks, Yedlin, Nagbe, Wood, Zardes, Morris.

And the talented 17-20 year olds will hopefully be ready to contribute. Quite a few players playing in Europe with really good technical skills which is what the US is missing. Some guys to keep an eye on...

Zelelam (Arsenal)
Pulisic (Dortmund)
Carter-Vickers (Tottenham)
Hyndman (Bournemouth)
Miazga (Chelsea)
Gyau (Dortmund)
Weah (PSG)
Rubin (Utrecht)

...and many more. These are just the most intriguing/exciting IMO.

The most suitable replacements (Altidore, Johannssen) are unavailable (injured). Losing Wood, Jones and Bedoya was a back breaker. Not suggesting we would have won if we had those guys, but we certainly would have had a better showing.

Don't understand the hype around Morris. But, yeah, there's a wave of young players emerging.

Klinsmann isn't the problem. The USA does NOT have the talent to play with Argentina. we just simply aren't there yet. I didn't mind the lineup, I understood it considering the yellow card situation, but when the first goal was scored the USA were shell shocked and awe struck.

Far, far better effort against Columbia. Ospina's save on Dempsey's free kick was pretty good. Had Columbia on their heels some and possession seemed even. Definitely competed and gave Columbia a game. Tough to lose, but at least they finish with their heads held high.

Need more from Bradley. The old guys (Dempsey & Jones) were very good. Big dropoff from Johnson to Orozco. And Orozco losing it at the end: no bueno.

Looking forward to the final.

Yeah pretty solid tournament overall for the US. The big downside is we really relied on Jones and Dempsey, and there is very little chance they will be able to play in 2018. Without those 2 we might not have made it out of the group stage.

I'm not to worried about finding a replacement for Dempsey. Wood will keep improving and Altidore and Johannson will get healthy. Or you could play with 1 forward and add a midfielder/winger.

But Klinsmann hasn't really found a good replacement for Jones. A lot of people want to see Danny Williams, but he's only played for the US a couple times and hasn't shown much. He plays for Reading, but there are some rumors of Premier League teams being interested.

Don't see Dempsey or Jones slipping away quietly in the night. That said, 2 years is a long time and they're old as dirt. We'll see. But it won't surprise me if they hold onto their spots, for one last hurrah.

How did Messi shank that PK and it was his first ever miss...Not a fan of the PKs they should make it like hockey where they start removing players.

Yeah - I've actually seen a suggestion that they remove the goalies. That would make things interesting.

Nagbe deserves more time.

not a huge fan of penalties either. You could tell however that both teams were absolutely exausted. I dont think anyone had the energy to score a goal towards the end.
