Arkansas Little Rock won't be in if they lose today. Bonnies are in, UCONN is in, Pitt seems to be a tourney team, I bet Syracuse is in, leaning towards Michigan being in, and South Carolina in. I think the others are out. Not necessarily in that order.

Not that he knows anyway, but last night I saw that lunardi had Syracuse and scUM both in the first 4 out. Although that could have changed today already, haven't checked

I really like the A10. I'm all for St Bon getting in. The SEC I really only think Kentucky and Texas A&M get in. South Carolina and Vandy just don't do it for me. I think Michigan gets in as they have some big wins. Not so sure on Syracuse, but I bet the committee takes Boeheim's suspension into consideration.

I have to admit, with us being out 3 years straight now, I'm finding it a bit tough to get excited about the tourney. I mean I'll still watch some games but my normal enthusiasm just isn't there at the moment.

Not only are we not in but, again no team from Illinois is in. Not sure how many years in a row that is the case but, seems like it's been a regular occurrence latley.

Normally this is one of my Mount Rushmore sporting events of the year. But after covering both Illini basketball teams through difficult seasons 10-17 in home games I shot, including going 30 days without covering a win. This season just became exhausting. On top of that, I felt that this years college basketball season as a whole has been underwhelming. ESPN's talking heads stated similar comments this past week, along with no true "Superstar" type player(s) this year.
So normally I would really be excited about today, instead I'm simply not that interested this year.

The Thursday through Sunday of Championship Week is my favorite sports time of the year, by far. The absolute blitz of games and analysis, culminating in the Selection announcement is 1000 pounds of awesomeness. It's better when Illinois is relevant, but just that win over Iowa in the tourney helped digest the process as a whole a little better.

Wouldn't trade this time of year for any other sports moment (unless the Cubs win the World Series, of course).

Well luckily for you, I don't think you'll have to agonize over that potential trade in your lifetime, lol ;)

The hostility towards the viewers in scheduling the selection show this way is, like, staggering. I cannot believe it.

I have turned it off and will never tune into the CBS Selection Show again.

I'm not sure I noticed what you mean?

I'm absolutely shocked MSU didn't get a 1 seed, to me, they got screwed. I'd barely put Virginia or Oregon as a 2 seed, let along 1 seeds. Also, another joke that Maryland is a 5 seed, they absolutely deserve a 3 or 4.

They are putting two full segments in between the announcement of each regional in order to sell more advertising for longer, because they are fully aware that no one has any interest whatsoever in this show beyond the 5 minutes of actually announcing the teams.

Disgusting, unforgivable contempt for the audience. I can't believe some producer actually had the gall to do this.

You do realize that CBS is a business right? Making money is what every business wants to do. If that offends you this much, maybe you should hole yourself up in your house, get rid of your tv and internet and never leave because a lot of things are going to offend you.

I'm only saying this because I care - there are a lot of decaffeinated brands on the market today that are just as tasty as the real thing. :tsk:
