MSU not getting a 1 seed is really bogus. No out-of-conference losses, including beating Kansas. If I remember right the B1G won the B1G/ACC shootout again, but ACC gets two 1's!

What a joke that Maryland gets a 5 seed with a better record and better conference than Duke he got a 4 seed. I'm seeing a theme of undervaluing the Big Ten, as usual.

Conference record is not used. How would you compare 11-7 in the ACC vs 12-6 in the B1G anyway? Duke had 12 top 100 RPI wins, MD only 8. Duke also had 1 more top 50 win.

Strength of schedule, obviously. UVa played a much, much tougher schedule.

I just can't fathom Maryland, Purdue, and Indiana all being 5 seeds. I could argue that any of the 3 of them deserved a 3 or 4

This might be one of the worst committees I've ever seen from the seeding to the teams that got in. Did they even watch any basketball this year?

The two-hour selection show is total crap and a waste of time. I stopped watching after a while, and apparently I'm not the only one. Great business decision by CBS yet again.

I don't know why, but I don't like the fact that they make small conference champs play in the play in games. Make the extra at large bids play (last 8 in).
