What do you think it would take to get Francisco Lindor from the Indians?

We do seem to have a nice working relationship with them based on the amount of trades we've had with them in the past, but to answer your question, a lot. By all accounts, the Indians plan on competing in a major way in that tough division and I couldn't imagine them getting rid of this rising star.

What about Alex Reyes, and Edmundo Sosa?

Also possibly more of a trade deadline acquisition... Give time for the Indians to fall back

I don't think the Tribe would do that and also how would you play all those guys in our system? Peralta is here for this season and next, Carpenter is here for another 4 and Wong just signed a 5 year deal. While a guy like Peralta needs some rest this year, he is a guy that needs and should play 5 out of 7 days a week. That is what we got Gyorko for, to spell all 4 positions in our infield. You also have the Diaz problem, who seemed to have a light switch on for him at the end of last season.

I like your thought, heck who wouldn't at the prospect of adding a guy of Lindor's quality, but it just isn't going to happen.

We have Wacha, Wainwright, Martinez, Lynn, Gonzales, Leake, and Garcia.

Reyes has already been suspended.

A shortstop for the next 10 years in our batting lineup is what we need.

How long will Wainwright, Garcia, Lynn, and Marco be here? Marco is just as unproven as Reyes, and he doesn't have the upside as Reyes. Oh yeah, Reyes is suspended for pot. It's not like it was peds

You can NEVER have enough pitching.

I believe the suspension doesn't apply if they bring him to the show. Can't remember where I read it but it is my recollection. Anyone know for sure?

You are right, but the point is and not saying he should be on the 40 man yet, if he was on the 40 man he would've been ok, because there would've been no test. Simply adding him now, if I understand correctly(not from this article) doesn't take away his suspension since he was popped before an addition to the roster.

They could add him now and it would go away. See Feb 26 in STL Post Dispatch. If they didn't break camp with him, it would burn one of his option years.

Well that really sucks, but he will be back and be much fresher down the stretch. As always, next man up.

Aledmys Diaz hasn't proven ready for the big leagues, but will we give him a shot anyway? Or do we play it safe and use Garcia and Gyorko until Peralta comes back?

I I think there's a chance Diaz could break camp with the big club now if he impresses.

Most likely the latter will happen.

This is a possibility. Hoping he grabs the bull by the horns and gets it done.
