I find it pretty amazing and annoying I suppose that there has been zero word about the visit with Cameron Johnson. Anyone heard ANYTHING!?

Heard the visit went well (don't most all of them though, lol) but a lot of big-time suitors though (KY, AZ, OR)..

Do you want players not in demand by good programs?

I'm not saying it's a total waste of our time, I just look at his background and his timeline and don't see what we're offering him that other suitors can't exceed.

On the other hand, unless he's just running to Cuonzo, I don't see who can match what we have to offer Charlie Moore.

Not that we couldn't or wouldn't take both, but these things tend to make a certain amount of sense when you look at them from a 30,000 foot view.

Agreed. Didn't he say he's transferring because he wants to win? All we have to offer at this point is playing time. If he wanted playing time, he would just stay at Pitt because he average 33 min/g this year.

Does anyone know Johnson's area of study? Since he will earn a degree in around 3 years, and will study for the next 2 years, I would imagine his decision would be a blend of playing situation and academic situation. Or I may be way off base, just a thought.

That actually is one of the better thoughts about his recruitment in my mind.
The young man played major D1 basketball and managed to graduate in 3 years. His education is clearly a major focus.
Good question:thumb:

The flip side could be: he has a degree, do the minimum possible to be eligible and focus every other second on developing for some level of Pro basketball

Any relation to Nick Fazekas? He was one hell of a player for Nevada (except I'm pretty sure Augie shut him down in the 2005 tourney).
