Another Bragg is considering Illinois reference, yet we aren't recruiting him? Something doesn't compute here.

Yeah, it's almost as if people who are on the outside of a recruitment don't have reliable information.

That seems odd.

I guess not different than coming to work drunk, exc of that it remains in your system long after the effects have worn off.

Agreed. And it was for paraphernalia not mary-jane itself. I am not condoning this at all. A pot pipe may be used for other things. Probably wouldn't be, but can be. I like CB as a player and hope we are going after him. I say he only has a half a strike against him. Yes I am in Colorado. Legal here but businesses do test for it and will fire someone over it.

Mostly, it is national businesses. But I know of local ones that will still test and fire people over it. It depends on the business. Repair shops are ones that will fire over it, for example.

Hope the staff has a target big who for which we are not aware. Believe Finke will be greatly improved but need someone in addition. Ideally a shot blocker. Perfect if it is a fifth yr guy so we still have scholarship avail next yr. Even if we get Bragg, not available next year.

Extremely interesting to me that Xavier is out but Cincy still is. I could have sworn those two were a package deal on consideration for geographic reasons.

While they're in the same city, they are extremely different colleges. Little Catholic versus huge public. It's basically the difference between UIC and Loyola in Chicago. It's perfectly natural that a kid might be more comfortable at one over the other.

Definitely accurate, and a fair point. It just means my assumption about why he picked those two schools was in error.

If it really is between us, Cincy and AZ State then I like our chances. Especially if he is looking to change his ways. Not saying our team is full of golden children, we know they aren't. But I know damn well UC has a certain vibe to their players (Yancy Gates type) and Arizona State campus wide promotes partying. I know Illinois does also, but basketball wise and academically we will win over AZ State every time.

Also, at ASU basketball is an afterthought at best. Trust me I know. I like our chances.

Let's be realistic here. UI consistently ranks at or very near the top of party school lists.

A agree with the administration: "This pseudo ranking is nothing more than a promotion for Princeton Review."

Period. Rankings are clickbait. Look up "how to drive traffic to your site." Nothing like controversy, and look, the Trib covered the story, manufactured though it is, because it was a topic of discussion, and really they had no choice.

I hate that fake news.

Why would picking UIUC over any other school in the country drive more traffic for a national service based on the east coast?

Cincinnati landed a recruit and has no more available scholarships. That may eliminate them from the Bragg sweepstakes. With NC State and Xavier reportedly eliminated that would leave just us and ASU remaining of his final five.

Bragg no longer considering NC State and Xavier. Looks to be down to 3.

Gotta believe we are still pursuing him & post we aren't is garbage. I can live with it either way, but I still think we need help next year & someone to be around for a few more years after that, like maybe a top 50 freshman big man, I see there is one from ESL still on the board...maybe we should take him.

That's an intriguing bit of info.
