Give me back my Afta, heh heh
I have to say Keaton looks better dressed than a lot of these guys, classier.
9 is high for me too but not by much, I really don’t think he was making it past Charlotte at 14. Golden State and OKC might’ve grabbed him tooMorez to Dallas at 9?
I see a guy taking a weird and rather unnecessary leap, and now there's this even more weird storyline where this player who did an awkward stare-down thing in post game interviews behind him is taken with their #9 pick when he was thought of as late teens guys from what I saw.
Earlier today (maybe yesterday) I'd made a comment that it would be so fun to watch Dallas do something wild to draft Morez or Mara... I think 9 was too high here, but we will see...
Worst case scenario we just get more psycho post game stare-downs to laugh at, but best case scenario is you have a coach who is bringing a rookie into an NBA locker room with 'watch how Morez does it and learn' type of energy which I'm not sure how well that will land with 12, 13 other adult males.
In the NBA, Morez is a 4.
There was essentially no chance he'd slide past Charlotte.9 is high for me too but not by much, I really don’t think he was making it past Charlotte at 14. Golden State and OKC might’ve grabbed him too
I’m sure he had some input, but NBA personnel decisions fall to GM/VP; so unless Dusty got one of those titles I doubt he drafted him.So Dusty May just drafted Morez 9th for Dallas!
People love to say 2nd rounders have no/little value and it just isn’t true. Sure not a lot of them might not work out, but you can get some good players in that round, especially with so much emphasis on the youngsters early. I seem to remember Ayo being a second rounder. But the real value is as currency. All those trades up were made using 2nd rounders. OKC has been collecting draft picks for years, and a fair amount have been 2nd rounders for that exact reason. This sports has some stupid GMs in it especially with a draft where second rounders are like fourth and fifth rounders in the NFL
That’s who I was hoping for. Very early in mock drafts I saw Swain going to Bulls, but he seemed to drop during the process to the point that I had forgotten about him. There were some players I liked better, but don’t think it was a terrible pick.I personally thought Cam Carr would’ve been a terrific fit.
Sure and I've said, multiple times now, that if that was really their evaluation then that's fine.Well, if they traded down, then you run the risk of Morez (who was obviously their guy because, well, they picked him) getting selected by the next 1 or 2 picks and never falling to you again.
People just want to dislike Morez. His stock was higher than many think. Floor was thought to be Charlotte at 14, and was getting consideration as high as Atlanta at 8.
#9 is perfectly reasonable. It's just some people figured Mara to be the better option. Doesn't mean Dallas saw it that way.
Yaxel is a Josh Hart. You don't win TITLES without Josh Harts.Yaxel's pre draft workouts / interviews / Intel from previous stops wasn't near as strong as Morez.
Going into the day, the thought was Mara / Morez / Yaxel in terms of highest to lowest draft stock. It ended up being Morez / Yaxel / Mara.
I do think Morez's stock was higher than most people here think.
basically bulls gm panicked and blew it. it was unfortunate nobody in top 10 fell and steinbach was the last straw. he should have moved up for anyone even if he couldnt get wagler. instead he settled for a wing that cant shoot and share position with wilson, matas. this shows he lacks creativity.Dang, really really really wanted Steinbach to go to the Bulls. Top 10 talent IMO
hes the most overrated player in this draft. draymond green pretty much improved his stock by 10 spots. at 9, you want a star esp if your not a contender and he is one of the highest floor/low ceiling type guy. also dallas new coach should have heavily influenced that pick since he would want his guy gm doesnt make decisions on his own.Morez to Dallas at 9?
