It would have, yes. Still don't know if a loss to their next opponent, Houston, would put them over 100 NET. Something I posted yesterday on different thread.

AAC Tourney in Ft Worth, TX begins Thursday, 3-10-22 at 1 PM EST with Game 1: No. 8 Cincinnati vs. No. 9 East Carolina | 1 p.m. on ESPNU

Cincy is at a borderline NET of 100 for us. A loss would make our loss in the early season to them most likely a quad 3 loss, since it was on a neutral site. If they win, they will likely play Houston next, and while I don't expect them to win against Houston, we'll have to see how their NET ends up (hopefully 100 or better).

  • Quadrant 1: Home 1-30, Neutral 1-50, Away 1-75
  • Quadrant 2: Home 31-75, Neutral 51-100, Away 76-135
  • Quadrant 3: Home 76-160, Neutral 101-200, Away 135-240
  • Quadrant 4: Home 161-353, Neutral 201-353, Away 241-353
The number of Quadrant 1 wins and Quadrant 3/4 losses will be incredibly important when it comes time for NCAA tournament selection and seeding.

Juwon being on the bench was worth -23 points. I would not be shocked if Juwon resigned in off season. Coaching P5 basketball is too tough for ex NBA players. None of them - Danny Manning, Penny Hardaway, Juwon Howard Patrick Ewing are having much success. Penny is only one with chance of making the big dance unless Michigan gets chosen for play-in game.

I wouldn't be 100% sure of that. Houston will be favored, but if my understanding of NET is correct, a blow-out it could still tick the Bearcats down a couple of spots.

Whatever....It's "verse" the Kitties. Tomorrow for Iowa will be like driving 90mph into a 100 car pile up.

Also, using complex algorithms and sophisticated facial recognition software, I have determined that Patrick McCaffery's face is as punchable as Bohannon's.

Iowa playing like a elite 8 final 4 team. Hopefully this gives our guys confidence knowing we beat them

Did I get click on a link and get to the Iowa board? Iowa is currently on a 1 game losing streak (for another 10 minutes or so).

Iowa will have their hands full with Rutgers. Iowa lost to Rutgers and scored 46 points in January.
