I see it as Alabama playing the victim card, trying to deflect where proper blame should be placed. I have not followed the issue much beyond what is portrayed by the mainstream entertainment entities (so-called "media"), but the way 'Bama has tried to spin this from the get-go has not left any positive impressions.

I can't imagine the burden that young man is now going to carry through life with him. One moment of panic and poor judgement, nationally televised and immortal. I mean, if you're trapped and that's your choice, make sure you can wing it at least 80 feet.
My quick opinion. Alabama has totally mishandled this situation, and now it is exploding on the national scene.

Hate to say it but Mizzou is about the be a big problem. Dennis Gates has things rolling there and they have Kyle Smithpeters on staff to funnel good players from the nation's top JUCO over there.
I've got Furman in one of my brackets, LOL.
As bad of a play as it was, fortunately Clark was the hero in the 2019 Elite 8 win over Purdue, making the last second 30 foot pass to Diakite that sent the game to overtime. So hopefully he focuses on his National Championship the rest of his life and not today's game.
No one should have expected Virginia to go very far. They lost Vander Plas last week and they had plummeted from #14 on KenPom to #34 since February 15th.
That's still no excuse for some of the threats and messages that have allegedly been sent to this kid.
Just had a bad beat for anyone who took Charleston +5.5.
