Maybe not pathetic…but yeah not ideal.I don't want to hear one iota of praise for the big ten next year...
2 seasons, 18 tournament teams, two teams (one program) to make it out of the first weekend (so far).
Pathetic.

Do you happen to know if KenPom breaks down data by date?I'm optimistic that Purdue can get past Texas.
Seeding baffled me this year. Frankly, I was mystified that Houston was seeded so low. Last year they were in the KenPom Top 5 and got a 2 seed. This year, same, and they got a 5. I wasn't surprised at all that they beat us.
I disagree with you about Wisconsin. They're in the 30s on Pomeroy. How they got a 3 seed puzzles me. If we were a 4 they're a 4 or 5. At the very least Houston should have gotten Wisc's 3 seed. Wisc-Iowa State was a pretty dead-even match (ISU was in the lower KenPom 30s) and yet the Cyclones were an 11.
[EDIT: Also, I disagree that we'll be a bubble team next year. I believe we'll be safely in and that's low expectations. If we bring back the players we should bring back, and add the frosh and maybe a portal transfer, we'll be in great shape.
Final thought: losing in the tourney sucks. Sleep on it and perhaps you'll see things more positively in the days and weeks to come. ]
I'm not a subscriber and I don't know if that data is available to paying customers. I wouldn't be surprised if it is. There's a "D-1 Stats Trends" on one of the drop-down menus; that might lead to it.Do you happen to know if KenPom breaks down data by date?
For instance could I see the highest rated teams going back the past 30 or 45 days?
Likewise, I was just looking into that too. That said I might become a successful sports bettor.I'm not a subscriber and I don't know if that data is available to paying customers. I wouldn't be surprised if it is. There's a "D-1 Stats Trends" on one of the drop-down menus; that might lead to it.
[EDIT: I just looked at the "guided tour" on Ken Pom. Given the data available, I'm afraid if I spent the $20 for a 12-month subscription I would never leave my computer monitor during the winter and would likely lose my job, home, family, and health.]
Well yeah, I gotta admit that’s also true.I’m perfectly fine with the big ten losing. I don’t want those guys winning if we aren’t.
Something is up with the ball. I'll die on that hill. The games have included so many offensive melt downs so far. Not just us.The offense of Texas thus far is almost as frustrating as ours was toward the end if the year. Yucky stuff
If anyone watches soccer and is familiar with leagues abroad, this reminds me of commentary concerning EPL verses other leagues such as Serie A or La Liga. EPL is considered the top league in the world and is known for its more face pace, bruising style in comparison to technique and finesse found in La Liga. This whole Big Ten is not performing well is fascinating and I’m trying to figure out why. Personally, I don’t necessarily think the level of athlete is that different from the other conferences, which effectively leads me to believe that the overall team construction is what is causing this trend as a result of the way the game is played in the Big Ten (e.g. officiated). While the Big Ten prides itself on being a black and blue type league, is that effectively putting every team at a disadvantage except the “finesse” teams (scUM). Curious what everyone thinks but I feel like this style of play isn’t conducive to post season success (I mean come on it has been 22 years).

100%. Never really understood the whole gotta pull for the Big Ten mindset. But I am bitter and spiteful when it comes to sports fandomI’m perfectly fine with the big ten losing. I don’t want those guys winning if we aren’t.
