Or he learns from it and Illinois comes back better in the years to come. So far, Underwood has shown a great ability to learn from what doesn't work and be better for it.

He could have/should have practiced it throughout the season and implemented in games. It's not difficult to do that. That's part of coaching and preparation. I like Underwood but that was a glaring omission that we didn't prepare for things like that and implement throughout the season. When we pressed Loyola it looked like we had no idea how to do it as Loyola broke thru it easily or we would pretend to press and then back off once they got the ball inbounds. I would like to see Underwood implement flexibility on defense more going forward. That's all I'm asking and I think most would agree.

Man, I don’t know about you but I’m loving this Loyola meltdown. Oregon St is a good team but they aren’t world beaters. Illinois got out schemed and I’m angry about it. This Loyola team just isn’t that talented and it’s coming to show in this game.

I don’t buy into the “Illinois so unlucky” narrative, but I sure do wish we got this Loyola. I love college basketball. But I hate it too.

happens.Where in the heck was this shooting last weekend against illinois. They were impeccable last week. Their offense was a well-oiled machine getting high percentage shots and slicing and dicing through a very good Illinois defense. Ugh
