EDIT: i'll check myself a bit. Howard has 2 s16 appearances and an e8 in four years. NCAAT success can't really be debated but still think it's best for ILL if he's the HC at UM

Yikes, this is totally whack. Once Hunter Dickinson is gone, I'll probably go back to not caring much about Michigan. The deeper into the Howard era, the less of a threat they become in the Big Ten. Once the results aren't there, the recruits will dry up. Dude was carried on the back of the program Beilein built to propel him to great recruits, now 3 out of 4 seasons have been really unimpressive.
Give Howard a lifetime contract

Will Howard be fired? All the incidents and not winning, seems possible.

Can we say that the committee will not select Michigan into the big dance for sure now?

Not sure why anyone would want him, but he obviously knows NBA people. Now might be the time to jump with Jett likely to go.

certainly a bubble team, on the outside looking in. Gotta think Rutgers and even PSU have as good a chance, Rutgers especially
Depends on how much Warren lobbies for them

edit- forgot they are 17-15. They are NIT bound

Not this year, but I think his seat gets warm heading into next season. The Sweet 16 run last season covered up that they barely even got into the field, as they were an 11 seed (somehow missed the First Four for "reasons") and now is following it up with the NIT. The program has pretty clearly slipped under him. All of that would not be enough given the goodwill from two seasons ago, BUT he has also brought embarrassment to the University by physically attacking an opposing coach.

He may want to beg his son to come back next season, as that will be their best chance of turning it around. However, his son is likely a 1st round pick so he may decide to leave. Pretty odd dynamic at play.

I just realized Dickinson is only a Junior. Thought I was done watching him.
nope true Jr.
from a basketball standpoint, he should leave.
But maybe the NIL is large enough to keep him if he wants a degree on time

Michigan entered the day in on 3/92 bracketmatrix brackets, another loss (to a team on the bubble that they would be in direct competition for one of the last few spots against) will likely move that number down to 0, not even getting into any potential bid thieves. It would be one of the craziest decisions ever for them to get in, especially since their overall record stinks, their quad 1 record stinks, their analytics stink, their most marquee win is @ Northwestern (NET 40) or HOME vs. Maryland (NET 26).... and they also have a terrible Quad 4 loss home vs. Central Michigan (NET 328).

They have a good strength of schedule, but they did very little against that strength of schedule. Basically, by all metrics, they have no shot at getting in.
