Sounds like someone regrets their decision to play for the home team.

With Larry Brown stepping down at SMU, are there any SMU players that will transfer and have interest in Illinois? Ben Moore? Shake Milton? Sterling Brown? Harry Froling?
Nunn's scholarship is still available.
I am sure Jimmy Whitt and Semi Ojeleye regret transferring to SMU.

Most would probably be at summer school right, then they would have to sit a year or is there a chance they could get out of that?

There are those who might say it was made to be worth their while.

If they are talented players playing in the NCAA, it was most certainly made to be worth their while.

Have the staff ever publicly said what they are going to do with the open scholarship for this upcoming season? Still trying get a transfer? Or give it to Alex Austin or Cameron Liss?

Doubt you will see an announcement outside of one when school starts and they give it to a walk on. They won't announce intentions for what they want to do.

Got a feeling all scholarships for 2017 are spoken for. With that said if no 5th year was available, there was no reason to give it to a JuCo or another tranfer that would eat up two or more years of scholarship space.

Alex Austin is a walk-on senior.

Depaul Transfer

Oumar Barry, 6'10"/230lb F/C will transfer from DePaul University to Iowa Western Community College, per my source :) The Illini staff should look at him for a possible transfer in 2018 (will have two years remaining).

Aren't we extremely short on schollies for 2018?

He was really bad on a bad team. Why do you think he would help us move forward?

I didn't realize he was transferring. Looks like he will sit out one year, and then play his senior year.
If he was eligible to play his senior year this year, would Groce and staff given him a look? (Considering the one open scholarship won't be used this year.)

Man, I can't believe Tommy Hamilton is still playing in college. Given the endless cycle of names we hear during recruiting, Hamilton seems like a name from a decade ago.

He's 2 classes younger than Tracy Abrams.

Jeff Goodman ‏@GoodmanESPN 29m29 minutes ago Georgetown’s Paul White is transferring, per school.

6-8 Forward from Chicago Whitney Young who played next to Okafor for 3 years. Had a good game the night they won the State championship over Benet and O'Mara. Also played well in their loss to Curie and Cliff in the 3 OT City championship game when Okafor fouled out.

ps - think he was a top 50 recruit. Don't think we were ever in on him as i recall but could be wrong.
