I realize everyone is holding our a glimmer of hope for a late run and an NCAA bid. However, in the event the team receives an NIT bid will they at least be able to play at home? From what I remember, the Illini could not even play at home because SFC was booked for other events and the team played road games which should of been home games.

Wasn't Assembly Hall occupied by a circus for at least one NIT bid? Now that Barnum and Bailey have thrown in the towel, we won't have that to worry about anymore.

So far so good today, Clemson and TCU lose big games, they're pretty much toast, softens the bubble even more the Illini and helps RPI with WVU win.

TCU lost their last glimmer of at large hope vs West Virginia today. VCU losing a tight one vs rhode island. Would be ri's 19th win and 11th in A10. Ped st currently down in minny.

It's available this year. It wasn't last 2 years because of renovations.

I think it was Circus Olay or something like that. I just remember shaking my head and being disappointed because #1 They missed out on the NCAA; and #2 I had planned to drive down and see the game.

SFC is available for 1st Round NIT (Mar 14-15) & 2nd Round NIT (Mar 16-20).

SFC is free on first day of NIT Quarterfinals- Mar 21st (42nd St is in town on the 22nd).

In 2010, Cirque du Soleil was in town so Illinois had to play at Stony Brook NY in NIT 1st Round. 2nd Round & Quarterfinals Illinois played at home.

In 2014 NIT & 2015 NIT Illinois played on the road due to the SFC Renovations.

Dance card has been updated. Can't get more bubbly than this.

I feel like in past years you've been a voice that has had to bring a lot of us posters down to reality when we got too far ahead of ourselves. This year, you seem to be bringing us UP to reality. I, for one, am shocked to see us that close to the bubble at this point. I figured if we won out and won a couple in the BTT we might have a chance. But this surprises me.

Agreed. It makes it seem as though simply winning out would be good enough. I've been thinking winning out and two BTT wins was what we needed for a sure thing, but maybe we are better off than that.

What am I saying? The ladder says it best - One step at a time. The next step, at Lincoln, looks to me to be the hardest one. If we lose there, and we are dogs, then the fantasy life gets a lot more obscure.

A couple of wins does wonders for your status, but have to keep getting them to stay there.

Michigan taking it to Purdue. If they win it could move them into the RPI Top 50 and give Illinois another quality win.

Based on today's Big Ten results,
am I correct that the highest seed in the btt is the 6 seed?
