Appreciate all the analysis but this is a one bid league. No damage done no matter who wins here. Neither team has an at large resume.

this would impact another bubble team's (iowa) worst loss. If Omaha wins, the loss doesn't seem as bad since theyre still a tourney team (regardless of rpi). It's a far reaching component but when you add it all up, it's worthwhile to note.

I'm impressed. That's serious analysis. I'm all for any result that gets us closer to the tournament. I'll start rooting now. I dislike Iowa more than any other BIG Ten team.

I'm depressed. Can't believe how solid we would be if we didn't choke. A mich win would have likely punched our ticket. Sigh.

Understand the frustration. You aren't alone but have to get over it. Nice to dream of what it could take-even if it could have been easier another way. For now, let's hope.....

Cuse Miami a HUGE one in the morning. A loss puts cuse at risk of being passed by a team winning their first round game.

I guess the reality is that our loss at Rutgers turned out to be a mulligan. Almost every team has a rpi +100 loss. Still would have needed a btt win over Michigan. If enough teams flop that will negate the Rutgers loss just wish we didn't have to depend on that.

Our record was reliant on no bad losses to cancel out our lack of a marquee win. While everyone else on the bubble may have a +100 loss, many have better wins. That and the loss of momentum are what hurt the most.

Rutgers.

We will look back and wonder how the hell we lost that game. Ultimate unexpected let down.

Big loss and I hope that somehow that puts them down even further but they likely will be selected. I will start to get my hopes up for these bubble teams losing once we win tomorrow ;)

Syracuse trying to break their own record of worst RPI ever for an at large team. Set it last season with 72, they are now at 85. I mean, they're pretty close to being a bad loss on people's resume and still might make it.

Agree so much wester...i can't stand the ACC bias living out here. They are inflating these teams in a ridiculous way. 85 RPI they should be out. Their non-conference schedule was in the 200's too

It wasn't all that unexpected. Coming off an emotional close win on Senior Night over MSU, then having to travel to NJ and play on Saturday morning against a team with nothing to lose. All the ingredients for a let down.

+100000. I al so got to see Rutgers play up close against Northwestern and they are not a bad team. Admittedly record stinks butthey are not your typical 2-15 team. Admittedly, sitll a tough loss but a lot of teams have a loss like that somewhere on the schedule. Certainly, the bubble teams do. Said all year they were going to take someone down. Unfortunately it was us.

Evans just tweeted that is Kansas State loses to Baylor and Illinois beats Michigan, they would move back into his bracket.

I hope we play well, Mich is gonna be tough. We need to be at our best tomorrow.

Bold prediction: A majority of outcomes break the way we want today. Bubble becomes "win and in" for us. We play really good basketball and take a sizeable lead into the last five minutes of tomorrow's game only to watch Michigan get hot from theee, take the lead, and we lose on a last second offensive possession that looks like a 2nd grader drew it up.

Unfortunately I don't think that is too bold, I can already see it happening.
