I feel like 5-1 almost guarantees a 3-seed, especially if one of those wins is over Purdue.
I have a ton of confidence for the boys to make a good run in the tournament. But dear god McNeese State is probably the team I want to face the least in the first round.
If it feels like we have had a chance to win most or all of our games this season, here's a somewhat arbitrary definition of "competitiveness" in a particular game:
(a) having a lead with under 16 minutes of the game, OR
(b) A 1 possession game in the final minute of the game.
Using this definition, Illini are the only team in all of the power conferences in college hoops who have been "competitive" in every single game.
