ISU lost, Illinois lost, MSU lost.

Two get a 2seed. One gets a 3seed.

The blown leads is bad for fans. The committee will not even consider the 2 blown leads. To them it is an OT loss to a Q1 team.

I don't care what the committee thinks in this situation. Our team is complacent with a lead and we stop being aggressive, the lead shrinks, and we lose momentum.

Contending teams will put their foot on the other team's throat and not let up or find a way to keep it at a safe distance. You cannot allow the other team to believe they can get back into a game. We've done it too many times that I don't even think our own players believe a lead is safe.

If Illinois loses in the second round again, I’m’a call him Brad Onederwood for the number of games he regularly wins in the Big Dance.

Purdue can log another valuable win over UCLA missing Tyler T. I wonder if they can play their way onto the 2 line.

UConn, Houston are locks for a 2 seed.

Iowa State notched a blowout win over Texas Tech then lost on a buzzer beater to Zona. They should be good for a 2 seed.

Down to MSU vs. IL vs. maybe Purdue (if they beat UCLA). Purdue got a huge win over Nebby for a valuable Q1A win. UCLA would add another Q1 (although not Q1A) win for them. MSU has the H2H on us.

We will be a 3 seed. Not a huge deal vs. being a 2 seed. If we can’t beat a 6 seed team, it’s all irrelevant anyway.

I've thought for a while we'd end up on the 3 line.

I hope we draw a 7 seed we match up with well, but I'm not holding my breath.
If we're a 3 seed, I'll gladly take the matchup against any of the 7 seeds!

I would have to think everything broke our way to make a 3 a lock at this point.
We were a lock for a 3 regardless of our loss.

Arizona, Michigan, Florida, Duke, Houston, Iowa State, Michigan State, Alabama, UCONN, Tennessee, Gonzaga, Kansas, Nebraska, Purdue, Arkansas.

You seriously thought 12 teams out of that grouping would be seeded above us? Kansas was always going to lose today and got hammered. One of Purdue/Nebraska had to lose since they played each other. Tennessee isn't getting past Vandy AND Florida.

These narratives are just spurred on by having no knowledge outside of one team and the rest of college basketball (which is fine, it's a lot to keep up with, but you probably shouldn't make such generalized judgements).

Purdue isn’t going to jump us….

I 100% agree with the NCAA results…. it’s not good enough. We’ve enjoyed some big ten championships though and that holds water.

But I think firing him right now is a mistake and unrealistic. If we lose first weekend this year and again next year…maybe the convo has legs
Brad is signed to 4.4 million guaranteed up until the 2030-31 season. There's no way he's going anywhere anytime soon, like it or not.

MSU, Nebraska, Iowa State, Illinois all lost today. Committee is gonna have some tough decisions as to who gets the 2 seeds.

I don’t think it’s for sure Illinois drops off the 2 line. 50/50 I think given the MSU/Neb losses
MSU, Iowa State, ILL, Nebraska in that order.

Being the top 3 seed vs. the worst 2 seed is a negligible difference. Just my opinion.

There you go again, talking down to anyone who dares to criticize the teams' flaws or Underwoods' flaws.

Sure. Let's just go along with your ridiculous takes. Nothing is ever wrong, the losses don't mean anything, Underwood is the best HC ever, and we're gonna win March Madness!

Friendly wager on us being a 3 seed or better?

Agree with your breakdown. I think quality of loss vs elite teams give Iowa State and probably Nebraska an edge over Illinois. ISU lost at the buzzer to Arizona and Nebraska did play Michigan to a very close game even missing Mast. Illinois got worked pretty good vs Michigan and UConn. The higher upside teams probdbly get those better seeds if the teams are pretty equal

I didn't say whether or not we would be a 3 seed. I think either possibility is pretty likely. Just think it's ridiculous to knock a guy for think we will or won't be one, just because you disagree.

I mean, he’s right. To say everything has to break out way for a 3 seed is an example of not really being aware of the current landscape throughout the country.

Maybe that hurts some feelings? Idk. Would you knock me if I said I think we’re a 15 seed as long as there’s no bid stealing?

All of this is rather inconsequential to me in the moment anyway. We need to just play better regardless of seed
