There’s 3 teams with at least a +35 NET rating, which are the 1seeds you’d like to avoid:
Need a TV with built-in AI that can replace Pearl's face/voice with someone like Howdy Doody.Has anyone figured out how to watch the selection show without listening to Pearl?
Has anyone figured out how to watch the selection show without listening to Pearl?
It will be fun to watch him meltdown when the more deserving Miami(OH) gets in over Auburn.Has anyone figured out how to watch the selection show without listening to Pearl?
We can’t be in the Midwest if Michigan is.I'll take a stab at our path to a Final Four.
Wright St. > UNC > Iowa St. > Michigan
In... the Midwest.
This seems very much a good possibility now I think as if Purdue has passed us they would get STL I would think? No. ISU would go to STL(if they’re above us)and we would go to Greenville.
That’s not the rule, it’s just that we’d have to slide below Purdue and Nebraska on the S-Curve since the top 4 Big Ten teams get separated. We can’t be in the Midwest if Michigan is.
If there are 5 or more B1G teams seeded in the top 4 then the rules allow that Michigan could be paired with another B1G team.We can’t be in the Midwest if Michigan is.
Pretty sure that's how it'll work out. The NCAA wants as many people as possible showing up. The Enterprise Center seats about 22,000 people, so it won't ever sell out, but Illinois + Purdue + Kentucky (#6 which would suck) probably gets as many as possible in there. If Purdue were a #2, sliding a Louisville in there as a #7 would help. OKC taking Iowa State and Houston would be a huge draw, which would leave Nebraska in a tough spot.Even if PU leaps us, we can still get STL if ISU goes to OKC, no?
For some reason I was thinking we were top 4 from conference standings. Wasn’t thinking of Purdue hopping us on S curveThat’s not the rule, it’s just that we’d have to slide below Purdue and Nebraska on the S-Curve since the top 4 Big Ten teams get separated.
Please!Ideal path:
1 seed Florida
2 seed Iowa State
4 seed Kansas
6 seed North Carolina
7 seed Kentucky
11 seed Missouri
So you think we’ll be a 4?You go 4-5 in your last 9 and haven't had a quad 1 win or beat a tournament team since February 1. I don't believe it to be so much of an overreation.
I'm not sure why people keep saying this. This team looks RD32 caliber right now, playing Houston means we at least made it to the SW16 and are playing with house money.Mainly don’t want the south region and have to play Houston in Houston?
I get what you're saying. When I go to a game and we lose, it's significantly more painful than if I'm at home. That said, having a stadium full of our fans still gives us our best chance. If we end up in Greenville, you're probably playing with a stadium full of Duke fans. Our representation would be down by about 75%. Plus, we generally play well in St. Louis. We seem comfortable there.I get people wanting to go to the game but I’m still not sure we should care that much otherwise about St Louis. Time after time we’ve seen this team perform better in the road. I want to win watching on TV not see a loss in person.
My guess on the top 4 seeds in the region we land in. I have no data to back up this guess. Happy Selection Sunday!
1. Florida
2. Houston
3. Illinois
4. Virginia
No I don't but I can understand it if the committee puts them as a 4So you think we’ll be a 4?
