So...early names for next year's carousel (since we all assume Cubit is gone after next season)?

Brohm
Schiano
D.J. Durkin
Matt Rhule
Fleck
Possibly Strong and Sumlin if both don't work out

I don't get the draw of Fleck. Why would a guy who wen 7-5 in the MAC be better than Cubit who went 5-7 in the BIG TEN? If the draw is he is a good recruiter, look what he does in the MAC with such "quality" recruits.

I think comparing records is a mistake. Apples and oranges. WMU lost to MSU and tOSU and had some very good wins in the MAC and a good bowl win for them today. That's a great season for such a young team filled with freshman and sophmores 2 years removed from 1-10.

I think next year will be a good indicator how good a coach Fleck could be as he should have a fully established program. With all the decent talent he's bringing in WMU should be at the top of the MAC next year.

Plus, Campbell and Babers both left so the door is wide open for Fleck to dominate. If he can't do it next year with a full crop of his own highly regarded recruits and a MAC undergoing coaching changes at the top then we don't want him.

You were right. Good job on that. Although, I do wonder if Grier announced his transfer 1.5 weeks before, would Eason be going to Florida instead of Georgia? Eason would basically be a lock to start at Florida over Harris.

Not me! I was just repeating what a reputable source (as far as the Eason situation goes) told me. Once Richt was hired at Miami, they were more of a threat then FL.

About as bad as the Cubs looked for dumping Renteria for Maddon, which is to say not really bad at all.
I felt bad for Renteria, but if that guy is available and you can get him, you get him.

Not that there is a remote possibility of this coming to fruition, but if you can get Chip Kelly, you get him. That would be the wet dream to end all wet dreams.

I would be pretty stoked to see a name like Chip Kelly come in as head coach.

Smart move by Miami. Look several post down they've added American Heritage HS (FL) head coach Mike Rumph to their coaching staff. American Heritage usually has several D-I prospects.

Name that has been thrown around before...

Kenni Burns will interview tomorrow for an opponent of ours next year. I know some, including myself, would love to see him join our staff some day.

I don't want to see that Lovie face ever again for a team I root for. I had to endure that long enough as a Bears fan.

Lets not be silly. If Lovie wanted to coach here, you'd be pumped, as we all should be. He did NOT get a fair shake in Tampa Bay and is not a bad coach.
