5th seeded Ohio was the only lower seed to win in today's MAC quarterfinals, defeating Kent State 85-63. The top 3 seeds (Toledo, Buffalo, and Akron) all won their games.

6 seed Lamar upsets 3 seed Sam Houston State 70-69. They'll take on 2 seed Abilene Christian in one of the Southland Conference tournament semifinals.

I will be at the southland conference tournament tonight to watch my former player Davion Buster and the Lamar Cardinals take on Abilene Christian in the semis. The Cards didn’t have a strong season but have gotten hot at the right time. If they pull off the crazy run through their tournament, they’d definitely be in a 16 seed play in game as their overall and conference records are below .500.

Two potential bid stealers playing in conference finals tonight. Georgetown takes on Creighton in the Big East tournament final. Oregon State faces Colorado in the Pac-12 tournament final.
